After knowing the solution, would you consider the 'cipher' to be tricky?
And would you agree with me that likely enough most everybody on GOG used it at some time (without knowing or thinking about it) before? :p

First sequence was little tricky, second one was easier :)

As a hint, how would you write a SMS?

I'm kicking myself as I'd pretty much got the first one except for the small detail of where to put the number, that's when I went off on a weird 'Rot5' tangent - I guess the important thing with these puzzles is to not overthink things and make them more complicated than they actually are!

I tried the rotary phone and cell phone letter patterns back in the beginning and got nothing. I assume you are hinting at something similar.
