Aliasalpha: Glad? And you call yourself neutral, surely it should be "I acknowledge that I'm not the only one born with a heart full of neutrality"

Your point has been taken under account.
I don't need Futurama. I'm gonna open my own theme park. With blackjack, and hookers. In fact, forget the blackjack. And the theme park.

Vandal: I really hope it's as good as the first few seasons. I've been pretty underwhelmed by the DVD releases... I just want to see classic Futurama humor.

Just got word from my friend at Comic Con they're replacing the entire cast...and the old cast is pissed and refuses to do other voices. Sounds like it's going to turn into a Simpsons thing. Ew.

I heard the old cast wanted alot more money to do the voices this time, they were still negotiating at that stage though, I really hope it hasn't fallen through. I don't think futurama would be the same with different voice actors.
Thanks for this news, OP!
That's great. I'm cautiously optimistic. Like Vandal already mentioned, I was a bit underwhelmed by the movies.
Incidentally, I hope they don't make any more videogames. *shudders* Did anyone else play the game? Vivendi's Buffy games weren''t half-bad so I figured the Vivendi Futurama game would be OK. I figured wrong.
Yeah the game was awful, very glad I borrowed it from a mate. I was expecting bad but not THAT bad.
The voice actor thing is a worry but frankly the producers will want the original actors because they like them, they're hard workers and they know full well that a show like that will live or die on the voices of the cast. The best thing they could do if they can't come to a deal is make a new show in the futurama universe
eh,
not as good as the simpsons

To be honest, I didn't find it bad. Yeah, ok, graphics were poor but not ugly imo. I mean, environments were pretty nice, the overall atmosphere in Old New York for exemple was very well done and respectful of what has been made in the series. And it was also a great pleasure for me to explore Planet Express building.
One thing that many people seem to have misunderstood: for the continually "retro-referencing" used in the series, the game was intentionnaly using old game mechanics and gameplay.
While playing it, I really had the feeling to play an old game, with unprecise and buggy controls, platform jumping, life counter, not many checkpoints, etc... And I really enjoyed it for that aspect.
