You can find most of this stuff in Apple's TOS.
So the question is why do people agree to something like this?

Now, anyone up for guessing why Google collected wireless data? No, not the "accidentally" collected data traffic, but the WiFi networks nodes? :)
George Orwell would have loved those companies, helping him selling a specific book (not that he needed to).

ThermioN: However, this is not the first (and most certainly not the last) time people "discover" that apple is loggin it's users activities.
Apple have never really interested me, personally. Even doing graphic design work it's always been with PCs. I have nonetheless observed them ecoming increasingly repugnant since they've switched focus to shiny, featureless toys. Steve Jobs' hypocrisy over the iTunes DRM didn't exactly make me fall in love with the company either.
But yeah, not my problem.

Unless you're an attorney there's little point in reading them as companies often times slip things in that aren't enforceable. The real problem is that most states allow them to get away with it.

True. But unfortunately in practice there isn't a lot of difference between the agreement being legally enforceable and the state siding with the corporation regardless. It's just a matter of where the corruption is and how widespread it is.
