Hey GOG, I recently finished watching the most amazing anime (also one of the best tv shows) I have ever seen, Fullmetal Alchemist, on Netflix. The story, characters, and art were all top notch. Now I have heard that Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a lot better, so I tried to find it on netflix but could not seem to find it, so I went to google, all of the yahoo questions say part 1, 2 , and 3 are there, and I even read on an article that its on the Canadian Netflix. If anyone can help that would be great.
I'm guessing it was there at one point (explaining why people were saying it was there) but has since been removed. No longer subscribed to Netflix, otherwise I'd check and see if it is available in the US.

I know Amazon has the discs available, expensive though. Apparently not available with their streaming though (unless I fail at finding it).
It's available on Hulu, if you have that access to that. Cartoon Network's [adult swim] programming block also shows episodes of it on Saturday nights at roughly 11:30 pm Central time (not sure on the exact time, but it's somewhere post-11:30pm).

Wait. I am on my Netflix account and am able to stream Parts 1-3 of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It may have something to do with you being from Canada? I can't think of any explanation. Regardless, you should do yourself a favor and get your hands on Brotherhood at some point. It is, at least to me, several magnitudes better than the original anime.
I do not get the cartoon network here or hulu sadly, here is the article that says FMAB should be on the Canadian Netflix, read the 4th paragraph

EDIT: oh and i tried to watch it on animefreak butit just wouldnt stop buffering

FMA:Brotherhood was (officially) on youtube up until a few months ago too, I started watching it but then the channel was first blocked for UK viewers, then seemingly removed because I can't see any trace of it now. If you find a place to legitimately watch it I'd love if you could share, sucks to start getting hooked on something then lose access.

Same for One Piece. One Piece is awesome, I miss it. Not seen it in over a year since the official stream was blocked for UK.
It's on Super Channel here, IIRC.
I just watched parts 4 and 5 on dubbinz. There's a couple of differences, mainly that the japanese text onscreen (like the overlay for "Briggs Fortress, Winter" in a transition shot) isn't translated, but everything else is the same. I had to watch an episode of Gurren Lagann there too, because Netflix was missing an episode. And you should still be able to get the DVDs, though that's not as convenient obviously.

It's usually up there. Sometimes, they take down popular shows for like, a week. Usually there's at least one chunk of FMA Brotherhood up there. And yes, FMA: Brotherhood is incredibly good. Not my favorite anime, but one with few flaws.
Yes i saw it was on Super Channel but I'm not currently subscribed to them so thats a no go

i just searched Netlifx (states) they have all but the end 40-64 :( i swear last moth they had them all...
I enjoyed that show. Thanks for reminding me to revisit it and its anime. I recall a "Brotherhood" version, and... that it follows a modified story, either closer or further of the manga plotline? Something to read into, of course.
FMA and Brotherhood are both on Netflix instant watch in the US, I just saw Brotherhood pop up as a suggestion last night.

Closer to the manga. The first six-ish episodes, iirc, are fairly similar to the first series, but after that it diverges pretty well.
Have you tried visiting Funimation's official site? I know they use a different player or something for the simulcast stuff when it's first posted, until they upload it to hulu a week later. At least the site FAQ mentions a bug where the hulu player shows up for canadians which would suggest there might be a different option for canadians. Though I dunno.
