I just picked up a copy on Amazon, saw a price drop so I nabbed it. I remember looking a bit into it a few years ago and had been wanting it. It looks really freakin awesome. I love the art style, and the soundtrack is great. I heard it's super short though :/ I'm sure it'll be worth it! :D

Indeed, it is, but I think it has the best atmosphere of all LA adventure games. The story ain't bad either. Great animation and all that jazz.

Yeah, I love the animation style from the little that I've seen. Watched a bit more footage, it looks like it's easily gonna be in my top five favorite games.
It's definitely one of my top games. The artwork is amazing, as is the voice acting and writing. The story more than makes up for the short length. It was also one of the first games I ever played as a little kid - I saw my dad playing and got very interested, so he let me play. The last time I replayed it was early in college, and I've been feeling a replay coming up.

The Prima (maybe?) guide got lost in a move somewhere along the line, and I missed it so much I got it on eBay...for really cheap, too. It has some nice concept art, tidbits, etc.

Enjoy! Let us know what you think as you progress.
It's amazing. it will always have a special place in my heart because i played it together with my gf when i was going through a very though time.

It's a bit short and easy, but who cares when the story, art, animation, sound, voices and atmosphere are superb. Definitly one of the best adventure games ever!
I will never forget Flight of the Valkyrie with the rabbits and mine field near the end, absolutely hilarious. You are supposed to set them off 1 at a time but I sent all of them just to see what happened and it had funny results.

Only annoying bit I found in the entire game was travelling the roads and trying to put the metal pipe in the bike spokes. Took a few attempts and its only a small section in the game.
it is woefully short... and unfortunately disney-ish.
But it is a cool game and of course has that tim schafer magic.
I loved it and I never found it to be particularly short, either. Of course I played it as a kid so I wasn't as good as puzzles as I am now, but you can't really breeze through it unless you already know where everything is. Even on later playthroughs, I generally took my time and talked to everyone about everything. Even just chatting with the bartender at the beginning about the pictures on the wall adds a lot to the game, even though it's not strictly necessary.

I like the style, the atmosphere, the music, and the game itself. Plus, how can't you love the "Biker Haikus" section of the end credits?

bevinator: the music,
Yes.
Now I'm really jacked to play it. It shipped already today and it's coming from in-state (only about 20 miles away, ordered from the seller before) , so I should be able to let you guys know what I think on Saturday, at least that's when it should get here.

I don't know why, but the game reminds me a bit of the movie Heavy Metal. Probably the animation and the like. But still.
Sure is a good game. I preferred it to The Dig.

Telika: Yes.
I have the Gone Jackals CD that all the music (except Whiskey, Chitlin, and Skirt) is pulled from...it's fantastic.

Both of this is true. If you know what to do (and skip the dialogues and cutscenes - or maybe even if you don't?), you can play through it in 1 or 1.5 hours. But it's definitely worth it.

Well that doesn't say much - almost any point & click adventure will be very short if you know what to do. You could probably complete any Monkey Island game in under 15 minutes by following a walkthrough.

But yes, Full Throttle is one of the shorter games. Maybe the size of Blackwell Legacy? Longer than The Shivah certainly.

I seriously doubt that. But yeah, you're right, maybe it only takes 1-2 hours or so to play through Monkey Island, too.
