I'm excited!
Just watched TB's video as well, looks pretty neat, I'll probably pick it up. Coming to both GOG and Steam so that's a good start for them.

Looks superluminal.
There is a fairly good chance of me picking that up here. Too bad I missed the Kickstarter, that is I missed actually bringing myself to track when the bloody thing ends. Oh well.

Our Website!! It will cost $9.99 USD for every region and will get you DRM-free builds for Windows, Mac and Linux.
You will also receive a Steam key.

Oh brilliant, I can already see where most of the sales will go. I'm not complaining, but it's obviously it's the most "bang for your buck" offering.

Well, if I end up buying it, it will definately be from GOG, because... well... I love GOG. Besides, the GOG release gets some nice extras. :)
Already got it through Kickstarter. Interesting game. Highly anticipating the full release.

And where is that damn drunk thread!
Got into the beta thanks to the Kickstarter as well. Sinked now closer to 20h into to this game already. Really enjoying it so far. Only got two extra ships unlocked and managed to face the end-boss few times. Nowhere near beating it yet though. Although if I manage to get good run on the ship I just unlocked it should be tad easier since this ship has really nice shields. Amazing to think that there hasn't been a game that let's you manage your spaceships resources same as this. Remember back in the day with X-wing/Tie-Fighters games you could do this with the shields and weapons. Eve-Online has some of this as well. There you could tank with shields, hull and play with different repairers. In FTL you can even turn-off your own lifesupport (H20) and if necessary even attack your own ship.

The Steam version got unlocked with retail key, meaning they'll most likely just patch this one from beta to final version. Looking at the patch notest they are still tweaking some minor bugs and adding events. Haven't really experienced any bugs myself, but having more events will make each run more unique. And the non-existand story to make more sense. Have had several runs where there hasn't been any special(blue) events or any additional story at all.

Only thing I would complain that the game is bit too random at times. It is really easy get into a stalemate and/or get your crew wiped. Just yesterday I got four strong aliens warping into my ship very early in the game. Which itself is not too bad, but this happened to be in a meteor field, which is not so good since the aliens killed my shield straight away. Although game being a roguelike I suppose there needs to be certain amount of randomness.

Playing FTL has reminded me off another spaceship RPG. Infinite Space for Nintendo DS, which not many played sadly. Infinite Space was bit more JRPG style than FTL. The simplistic map and the UI are similar. Not a bad thing since it works.

But on the first week, it will be sold at the exceptionnal price of USD 9.00 only !!
I have two questions if anyone would care to answer them:

Is GOG going to have a pre-order for this game? (I'm guessing no considering it releases in 4 days).

Is there any plans for ongoing support and feature updates?

GOG has to do that, if the game offers those updates and support. It will be, however, done via full "redownloads of the game" or patches, as at least the beta has not internal updater and is updated via Steam.
I'll probably snag it once it's out. I must say, it looks like a hell of a lot of fun for just $10.
