Why not put a frontpage announcement GOG?
Because it's here:

I'll have to give it another try.

I also wonder why it's not on the front page, the only reason I can think of is that maybe it will be in this weekend sale?

hedwards: Which is really cool, it seems like this is enough content that they could probably get away with making it DLC. I also like that they've given us the option to turn it off.
Oh ya when I heard about this I assumed it would be a few random events and such - when I went to the site today and saw it was new systems, vessels AND race I was blown away - great, great game and company that I wish big things for.

Well, if you hadn't seen the blog postings, it would be easy to think this would be a minor update. But, really this is pretty substantial, it's probably just about as much content as there was in the original game.

I'm likely to buy more games from them in the future because of this as it goes way above and beyond what I would consider necessary.

That's a fair point, this kind of falls in between a new release and an update, I'm not sure why they aren't promoting it more.

Did anyone else notice that the FTL:Advanced Edition Setup doesn't seem to exit properly? After I installed the game, I clicked the exit button and noticed the task was still running in the background and using a lot of CPU cycles. I had to load task manager and had to repeatedly "End Task" to get it to stop running. Did anyone else have this issue?

P1na: "Cool" is all I've got to say about this.
And I thought it would be 'About bloody time' :-P

Nah, because then I'd go in rage about why it came out just as I got to a LAN party for the weekend. And I would never get over it. So better let it be.

This is kinda a expansion for the game, not a update with bug correction and etc. It deserves a proper announcement, it´s the chance to GOG sell it.

Wouldn't be surprised to see one, a unique event or something.
Got to reinstall this then! Maybe this time I am able to beat the damn boss.
I only managed to win the game with the Engineer ship back then. Couldn't win with the original ship.
