Once I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
Oh... my unspeakable wife, Queen Lisa, now I eat humble pie
I'm telling you I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
And now I work at the Pizza Pizza

1 2 3 4!

Royalty, lord it looked good on me
Buried in silk in the royal boudoir or going nuclear free
Or playing Crokinole with the Princess of Monaco
Telling my jokes to the OPEC leaders, getting it all on video

Once I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
A palatial palace, that was my home, now I eat humble pie
I'm telling you I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
And now I vacuum the turf at SkyDome
Once he was the King of Spain

I can't wait, I'm lowering interest rates, my people say:
"King, how are you such a genius?
There's a roof overhead
and food on our plates!"

It's laissez-faire, I don't even give a care
Let's make Friday part of the weekend
And give every new baby a chocolate eclair

Once I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
Hey Clinton! Hey Yeltsin! Got problems?
You phone me, now I eat humble pie
I'm telling you I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
Now the Leafs call me up to drive the Zamboni
Once he was the King of Spain

Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce to you the internationalorchestra!

Now some of you might be wondering how I came to be living inCanada
after being royalty in Spain. Should I tell them, guys?
Tell us, King!

You see late one night when the palace was asleep
Out of my royal chambers and into the garden I creep
And I wait till the appointed time, when the moon is lighting thepitch
At which point my peasant friend, who looks just like me
Arrives and we make switch!
(gasp)

Prince and pauper, junior and whopper
World made up of silver and copper
Under my own volition, I took a change of position
So next time you drool in the pizza line
Remember, slower pizza's more luscious
The King of Spain never rushes!!!

Once I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
I was lookin' for off-handed ways to improve us, now I eat humblepie
I'm telling you I was the King of Spain, now I eat humble pie
And now I'm jamming with Moxy Fruvous!

Once he was the King of Spain

Random enough? :D

gameon: Edit-After viewing a vid on youtube, the game looks far too technical for me. I dont need it for the sake of it.
Technical? Perhaps. But also seriously fun!

DAMN YOU GOG FORUM SOFTWARE

Do we get any extras? Soundtrack or anything ;)
The soundtrack is amazing!
The "friend's copy" email I got from Mode 7 doesn't include any links to the soundtrack, but since I bought it twice, I'll gladly include the new copy in this giveaway.

BTW, what a nice...cat!

I didn't find it all that complicated. There are a lot of commands you can give out, but the tutorial levels do a very good job of explaining everything. Personally, I found the single player campaign to be a breeze. Depending on who you play against online, it can get significantly harder, but again, it's still seriously fun! And this is coming from someone who doesn't even like strategy games.

Sorry for the late reply, I was only supposed to be taking a short break from work.

gameon: Is it easy to play? It just looks (with all the options to duck etc) a bit complicated to play.....?

gameon: I see, well in that case i'd like to be re-considered for the giveaway, if i may.
Because of the turn-based nature (and the fact that you can simulate what will happen given various orders) you also get time to experiment with all of the options and see what they do. How complicated an order set you give is very much up to you (well and the situation you've gotten yourself into :P).

The game is complex, but it gives you time to adjust. Overall, I thought it was a fantastic game. While I'll admit the game is not for everyone, winning it free in a random.org contest is the perfect way to try it out and see if you like it if you're not sure. :) That's how I look at things at least - unless I know it's a game I don't want to play or my backlog is already too large.

Since I have the game, I'm not entering - just dropping by to give my moral support for the giveaway. :)

If a person plays mostly platformers, then yeah I could say he will probably find it too technical. But as it was explained, the tutorial explains the different moves etc. really well and it won't take long before you already know how to play the game. Just give it some time and don't rush. The soldiers will do exactly what you ordered them to do, so if you make them run to the east and they get ambushed by a guy hiding in the north, they won't return fire because you didn't tell them to do that. But, if instead you make the soldier run right, but occasionally glimpse to the north (and every other direction because why not), they will see the soldier and fire back. The level of options you can assign to your soldiers is amazing.

I remember this one MP match, where a guy was hiding behind the table and ready to fire anyone who enters his line of sight. Well, I wasn't sure if he was there but just in case he was, I ordered my soldier to run right next to the table, then duck, and run again after he is past the table. We were playing dark deathmatch, which means the opponent only knows where your soldiers are if you see them. So, the next turn I went and cleared the room he thought was secure, and was still aiming over the table. Easy kill, and the match was really funny to watch on replay.

Go watch Total Biscuit's WTF...is Frozen Synapse? on YouTube. That video explains the game really well and got me to buy the game.
A beginning is a very delicate time.

Thanks for the giveaway.
The first time I read about synapses, was in a comic book. Is this random enough?

Thanks for the giveaway!

Frozen Synapse is good, but frozen yoghurt is better.
Actually, too much frozen yoghurt can lead to frozen synapse....
