This is a turn-based game somewhat similar to Worms. Each player controls a group of soldiers and assigns them orders which are then carried out at the same time (so the action feels real time) with a top-down view.
You can easily compare it to the planing stage of the old Rainbow Six games as well as Laser Squad Nemesis and XCOM.
The game's in beta right now and they're accepting pre-orders which give you beta access as well as the full game when released. The nice thing is that if you pre-order you get two keys, so essentially you're paying for two copies of the game.
The pre-order costs £16.99 or €18.99 or $25.99 and I'm really interested in getting this game but wanted to know if there's anyone here interested in splinting the price (so each of one gets a copy of the game).
The pre-order page is and a preview made by Rock, Paper, Shotgun can be found [url=http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2010/04/19/preview-frozen-synapse/]here.
Thanks for the links.
It looks to be DRM Free as well.

Ah well at least they are fair.
It's also from the developers of the sword-fighting DBTS clone Determinance. They also have accounts here at GOG.com
Their support for their consumer base is excellent. If there are indie developers to support, these guys are part of them.
I'm tempted by this, though being used to buying GOG games makes the price feel like a small ouch! on my pocket. Still, if I can convince my brother to give this a try I think I'll fetch it. This definitely looks like a "play with friends' game. I wonder if it has a "hotseat" option, it looks like it should.
If any of you is in the beta, let me know your thoughts.
Man this game looks great! I just hope that the single-player campaign has a decent back story to it as well. I see that the multi-player is getting a lot of love from the devs as seen in the trailers.
The music reminds me a lot of Uplink and the graphics as well. I hope the game turns out to be made of nothing less than pure win.
