Wow.... Talk about support :) I figure the email is prolly auto generated or what not... and yet I am still deeply appreciative they would bother to email a potential consumer just to see if I might have had an issue with buying them....
I ended up being able to install the games off the disc i got from amazon and then bought the collection on their site after the humble deal :) and im just wowed :)

Yeah, it's a new thing for e-tailers. Research has shown that around 45% of shoppers online add something to cart or don't go through with a purchase. That is a lot of money. So now they send people emails if they've forgotten to go through a purchase or some other reason.

I didn't finish my checkout at Frictional Games either! I think the purchase system is flawed, because I had thought I bought it, but there was another screen I had to go to that I completely missed.
I was glad they reminded me.

Yeah, but new for DD sites. I've never received one of these messages, guess GOG and GG would fit this style.
The problem with e-tailers is that the user adds the product, then gets scared of the f*ing high shipping costs and quits in less than 1 second. That's me browsing Amazon, usually. :p

Personally, I think eSellerate is not the users friend.

I know, just posted for a better exemplification of that research. The problem is the shipping costs compared to the cost of the product alone.

I've put my money down on Insomnia. I'm really looking forward to that game. The gameplay preview looked intense and I've really been digging the game design philosophy that the Frictional Games guys post about in their blog.

Amnesia is pre purchased and waiting for August release. Come August quickly...
