Fight furiously, fight quickly, fight for free!

Warsow, a cyber-sport ready, ultra-fast paced FPS with sleek cel-shaded graphics and some innovative mechanics, is coming free to your shelf on GOG.com.

Cybersport is a relatively broad term, but the first things that come to mind when you hear it is: RTS and FPS games. While the first category is dominated by Blizzard's Starcraft series, the latter tends to be a lot more diverse. The multiplayer rivalry is very often the main focus for modern FPS designers, and the single-player campaigns often present nothing more than an extensive gameplay tutorial. In some games, victory relies on the ability to apply team tactics, but deathmatch games remain the pinnacle of virtual sportsmanship.

Warsow is such a game, but not an ordinary one. Seven years in the making, it's one of the most incredible community efforts, proving that games made by gamers for gamers can deliver unique qualities if their development isn't rushed and pushed by the forces of the market. Years of carefully polishing every aspect of the game paid off--Warsow has been accepted as a competition game by the Electronic Sports League and ClanBase. And now it comes to GOG, to impress you with its stylish minimalistic graphics, to amaze you with its ultra-fast gameplay, and to awaken within you the spirit of rivalry!

Grab your riotgun, pick up the pace, and join the manic shoot-out race in Warsow, free on GOG.com!
Questions:

Does it have cpu bots in multiplayer?

Is there a single player mode? If so, i gues it would be just deathmatch stuff like quake 3 arena?

Foxhack: snip
Loads fine for me.

Azrael360: Like a cartoony version of Unreal Torunament III, and free... :) Not my type of game though :P
As someone else already said, it actually plays a lot more like Quake 3: Arena.
I'm not interested in it if the only place i can play it in is public servers were vets will decimate newbies time and time again. Is there any way where you could set up a match in this game with specific people you'd want to play? A private match of sorts? Because I'd rather try it with friends who are total newbs as well.

Hmm. With Steam it's easy to set up matches against online friends.

I wouldn't want a client on GOG, but some sort of way to easily play against others in the community, like a match room specifically for GOG members would be.......Interesting.
Wait... free games can be gifted again? Awesome!

Beware the trolls... *shifty eyes*
I was a member of Turkish national Warsow team on Clanbase :p Great game if you like Q3 CPM.

Wait, why does it say that the GOG version if Warsow is 1.0.0 when I'm about to download it while the latest Warsow client is currently at version 1.02?

That's our internal numeration. The game itself should be the latest official one.
Caveat Emptor for Mac users; I tried playing this on my MacBook and the GMA 950 inside whined like a little puppy that was gloriously kicked into a trash compactor. Oh well, I'll give it another spin and see how it holds up.

Thanks for the clarification! Seems a bit silly to display the installer version instead of the game version to the users though. ;)
This game is fun, but it can be frustrating.

I think i found a cheat (goes by the name of Chab) Impossible to kill, won the round by a mile.

And there was lag when i fired weapons at some points.

Still, a very fast paced shooter. Well worth playing.

Well, it really is almost the same game with a different paint job. It's obvious not much was changed gameplay-wise from the original source code.
Hmm, I'm not quite sure why GOG let's me do this. Seems kind of trollish.

Although, I guess it is good promotion elsewhere.
Thanks GOG!
