tinyE: I've heard, stress 'heard', some pretty nasty things about EA downloads.

F4LL0UT: Forget what you've heard. Origin isn't any worse than Steam as far as I can tell. Started using it last year and I like it.
Well I almost joined Steam until I found out you need to be logged on to play 90% of their stuff which makes them forever dead to me. If Origin is similar that is obviously a deal breaker. Even if I wanted to do that I can't given I'm working on a satellite feed in the middle of nowhere.

Oh yeah, in that case I'm not sure. Origin does have an offline mode but I haven't tried it yet. It can't possibly be worse than Steam's, though. The Origin client actually seems like a better and more solid piece of software than the Steam client, IMO.

Both Steam and Origin have offline modes for the client; the games themselves will also generally work offline apart from a few cases that require a constant connection for DRM purposes.

If it makes it any easier for you to decide, I installed Origin quite some time back and never had any issues. If you have no internet connection, Origin automatically switched to off-line mode, even if you're in the middle of a game and your internet goes down (and you don't get booted from the game either). Overall I find it works as well as - or better than - Steam in a number of ways.

Well then, that settles it. Thank you. :D

BTW PvZ is my nephew's favorite game ever. He's eleven.

Thanks for the tip and +1 for you.

Added it to my library, downloaded it.

Tried to install it and it gave an error that DirectX couldn't be installed.

I'll troubleshoot it later.
I got an error but when I clicked to play it still worked.

Hmmm, guess I'm lucky.

BTW logging onto Origin was a PAIN!!!! There is already a TinyE, a TinyElvis, and a BramToker! I had to go with the name of a character I made up for a short story I wrote TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO!!!! How the hell I even thought of it much less remembered it is beyond me. :P

Our own creations are usually unforgettable unless you suffer from a brain disease.

And yes, I know some of you will start thinking about our own bio-hazard but those are disposables.
Pretty cool that they have this promo. I have played Plants on DS and enjoyed it.

Please take me with you on your time machine back to May 2014, so I can grab Plants VS Zombies again for free :D
wait what?, wasn't the game just a nominee?, did it actually won the GOTY title?, oh wait, I am confusing it with the game awards thing, which Dragon Age Inquisition won (which I think is bullshit)
Run! Run from the necromancers!
