I wanted to create this for a long time, but this was like a sign to me. Sign to finally do it. To create ... Free discussion! So if you have something you wish to share or discuss with others, but is not worth creating a whole new topic, just do it here!
However, this is NOT a spam topic. It's not an IM client either (join our IRC for that! ... Seriously, join it :D ). Every post here should be ... Well... At least a bit meaningfull :D
Meaningful eh?
OK then. What are the chances of CD Projekt ever developing a game based on the "Tytus Romek i A'Tomek" universe?
There.
I understand the feeling for the need of one of these, because you make a lot of friends on here on the GOG.com forums, and you wish to share your personal growths/fears/etc. There were a lot of times where I have wanted to make posts as such, but decided not to, as I felt that I am enough of a community whore, or troll already.. hehehe..
This brings to question, whether or not, again, should this thread exist?
Well, I'm undecided. Part of me says that as long as the community wants it, what could be the harm?
The other part of me says, that threads like these build elitism, it creates heroes to the community, and undying appreciation for other people on here, which could lead to those people being right, regardless of the actual truths.
We see a little bit of this already, however there are a lot of people on here, who will come in with some bit of information to offset it. Fortunately, usually people are able to say "oh, it looks like you're right." instead of it escalating into an ego war.
Just sharing my thoughts. :)

I always thought of the "General Discussion" forum to mean just that ....general not-related-to-anything-in-particular-free-roaming-open-sandbox-surreal-dadaist discussion....

+1
Discussion about free discussion, eh? You're pretty much right, Weclock, it's just I think this kinda helps to clean-up forums a bit. Of course, just in case people are noticing the topic.
And lots of interesting stuff could appear in here - the fact it's not worth creating a new topic does not neccesarily mean it's not interesting :D
Anyway, thoughts on new Prince of Persia? I don't know if I want it - I've preordered it, but it CAN be canceled :D Just for the record, I love new PoP trilogy, meaning: Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones. In fact, I love them in that order :D

I was always slightly unsure, because the TOS for the forums, implies that posting off topic could result in discipline, including a ban.

I am unsure about buying it, because it sounds like it downright sucks, I mean, at least if it was mildly entertaining I might enjoy it, I mean, I like drm free, but I don't like crap.

All that is really needed is an Off Topic forum.

Express yourself!
The new Prince of Persia is pretty awesome. The only thing that seems to get on people's nerves is the never-die system, like Prey has (and I think is rather clever and keeps the game moving along nicely).
Free discussion, you say? Well, recently I was chosen to participate in the Ghostbusters The Video Game focus test, but all the hours conflicted with school, so I had to cancel it. I would've skipped school for the first time in my life, too, if my midterm exams weren't this week.

I liked Prey's system - game was ... Well... As you said, moving along nicely :D
And I've felt pretty immortal in Sands of Time and Warrior Within too - of course, you -could- die in those two, but they were pretty easy and combined with ability to reverse time...

I loved the ORIGINAL PoP games... I haven't played the modern ones, I'm afraid they'll ruin my childhood nostalgic feelings towards the franchise. Then again anyone playing the old ones now would be utterly bored, but they were awesome for back in the day.

I like them both, I remember playing the original ones in computer class in 5th grade while I was supposed to be writing some C++ code, that and Day of the Tentacle, for some reason they were installed in the school computers. But I also enjoyed Sands of Time (that's the only one I played) jumping around and doing all kinds of crazy things was a lot of fun. So what I am trying to say is that they won't necessarily ruin your fond memories.

Bored? First one maybe, however second one... So colorful, so nice, so great... Like the Sands of time :D Play it, I command you, in the name of the emperor! :D (I'm not mentioning the third one of original series... Aww...)
