Momo1991: Well this one is serious cake in terms of solving,,,

What, no one wants to work a tiny bit for a free game? ;-p

theslitherydeee: I tried but I have no idea what number 3 is supposed to be. I might be on the right track but I'm not using the right vocabulary.
Number 3? Can't you just google it?

For number 2 there is only the text: Image? (never mind, figured it out)...
I still can't guess the last one... oh well...
Thanks for the giveaways, but I suck at puzzles :)

Here's an idea: Keeping with the theme, you could take 4 screenshots from GOG, mash them together (pick out key elements from each & slap them in the same frame) then have people guess which 4 games. You could also do this with the names of the games.
Heya bunch, tascodlx has crushed my puzzle, so you can breathe easy once more.

Handsome work!

Congrats on solving a grimwerk puzzler - I hear this is your second ;-)

As to your suggestion, excellent idea! When will you be posting it?

I have no idea. :) I can try to throw something together, maybe get it posted by tomorrow night.

Btw, it was a(nother) challenging and very well-crafted puzzle. I assure you, it wasn't that easy. Thank you!

Thanks, Tasco! Did you resort to reverse image searching? I left the letter order intact so (hopefully) a solver could miss a few images and still get the answer. There were a lot of suitable simpler words that worked, but became terribly ambiguous image clues. I'm a little bit familiar with Tintoretto (and Canaletto!) but I wouldn't have recognized his self-portrait myself. Anyway, you may have noticed the puzzle fit Momo's thread theme in two ways.

I haven't had space to follow-up on your solid lead for Fujek's puzzle. Hopefully, soon!

---

I guess I'll post the puzzle answer here for the curious!

The images, from left to right (zigzagging up and down):
TINTORETTO - T
CHEERLEADER - E
TATTLETALE - T
REFRIGERATOR - R
CATAMARAN - A
THIGH-HIGH - H
MINESWEEPER - E
ONE-HUNDRED-THOUSAND DOLLARS - D
EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL - R
FOOTLOOSE - O
ANNUNCIATION - N

The number adjacent to each image was the number of letters in each answer. In each answer, only one letter appeared 4 times (Momo's theme). For example, FOOTLOOSE contains 4 O's. Taken together, the special letter from each word spells TETRAHEDRON, which has 4 faces (again, Momo's theme).

But of course. ;)

Tintoretto - I had no clue.
Tattletale - I guess I just don't watch enough SpongeBob.
Annunciation - I could've guessed it was from the Renaissance, so maybe?

I think it would have been tough to guess without both T's, but possible if I happened to stumble upon -HEDRON.

But I did recognize Woodrow Wilson and Kevin Bacon. =D
NEW CHALLENGE

How does it work? Like so.

tascodlx: NEW CHALLENGE
Another brain buster! ;-)
Four is the number of today's date and I want to thank Momo for this challenging giveaway but I'm not in. Thanks to the challenge providers too.
Melted brains BUMP!
I'm interested in Tasco's puzzle, but I don't recognize any of the four games. And though I haven't tried, I expect the collage aspect will defeat tineye. The purple-hued background shed looks like a horror game, maybe I'll ask Novotnus. The way I imagine the puzzle is set up, guessing one or two games will make the others easier to find, but discovering all 4 games based on the code alone would be difficult!
