Woa, this is still going..

Still NO idea..

I was stuck on #3 for a long time because I wasn't familiar with the symbol... I thought it was an interesting take on a compass rose! Now I have the first four figured out, and I know that we're "over thinking" the answer, and that it's right in front of us, but I'm still having trouble. Driving me crazy!

Its been driving me crazy forever. The same thing happened with #3, I thought it was a pit, or a spiked cage.

Do we need to be familiar the works of the previous answers in order to figure this out? I know that's a little vague... What I mean is, say one of the first four answers was lederhosen. Would we have to know which nationality is most famous for wearing them is?

(Am I making sense? I'm really tired :p )

Knowing my luck I've probably never heard of the game.....hmmmm

Actually, thanks again. That one game title allowed me to reasonably attack the other three and solve the puzzle. I have no intention of claiming the prize, (not that I know what it is), but if you want it, it is yours.

The dragon is NANCY DREW: CURSE OF BLACKMOOR MANOR.
The jumping soldier is ADVENT RISING.
The spooky shed is the background is OUTLAST (with a violet filter over it).

I'm unfamiliar with all of these, but your own PRINCE OF PERSIA: WARRIOR WITHIN identification confirmed that they were gog games, that the anagram probably used the full names for those games, and the composite image was made out of gog screenshots. I found the other games though a series of lucky mistakes and hacking away at the anagram.

I removed the letters from your title from the anagram, and then mistakenly guessed that the background was one of the Alan Wakes, and removed those letters, too. This left seven letter Os for two games (and the secret word). Looking for titles with 4+ Os quickly got me to BLACKMOOR MANOR. This strongly confirmed that the image contained only gog screenshots, and that Alan Wake was wrong. Next I went digging for letter V titles, and lucky for me, ADVENT RISING is really near the beginning of the alphabet. For the final title, I just formed a few game title-type words from the remaining letters (ghost, lost, post, out) and typed them into the gog game search. So that gave me OUTLAST.

The extra letters were an anagram of HODGEPODGE, which is satisfying as it describes the puzzle itself!
