Well your reasons had better be good both of you! Creating all this suspense and tension and getting everyone excited only to end in an anticlimax - well I'd feel cheated, I can't speak for everyone else (-twice in the same day).

Moving on, how about that muttscum? anyone fancy lynching him with me?
I've just had a look at my post and it looks really bad. Please consider this as a replacement for Post #195

@Rodzaju is there help on using quotes on here?

Ok. This is a repeat that hopefully makes more sense.

Zchinque: *snip*

stuart9001: He has thrown out a totally random and unexplained vote and everyone is now focused on this and reacting to it.

Zchinque: That something is unexplained doesn't make it random.

That something is unexplained does not necessarily make it non-random, are we trying to find scum or discussing semantics?
It was unexplained in that you provided no explanation and it seemed to be purely random in that you provided no explanation.

Vitek: What exactly is this ploy trying to achieve?

What it has achieved I would surmise. You could maybe read post #159 rather than just quoting it. I thought it would be pretty self explanatory what I thought your ploy was.

stuart9001: You'll have to ask Zchinque that.

Zchinque: No, asking you that seems fair. If you think it's a ploy, I'm sure you have some ideas about what you think that ploy might be, or what intended effect it might have.
Also, why does only Vitek's vote make the alleged ploy suspicious?

I don't see anything I have posted that suggests I considered Vitek's question unfair. Choosing not to post conjecture does not make his question "unfair" or my answer "unfair", not any more so than not answering anybody's questions, as I seem to remember you doing, for the last 3 days. Might I direct you post #172.

Apologies if the quotes have gone wrong. I've not got the hang of this quote system.

@ Vitek: Just noticed your post. I don't think Zchinque's actions can be viewed as anything but anti-town now that I have seen his eagerly anticipated response, I now find him as suspicious as yourself. This is because you have not provided your reasons for voting the same way other than "supporting" him. Looks a little like "blind" following to me.

Additional:

This is a repeat of post #195 changed to highlight my responses to Zchinque. After having some time to think about the posts over the last few hours:

Vote Vitek

I am also interested in why you (Zchinque) are also so interested in my interaction with Vitek.

Vote count please. I don't think there have been any votes since the last (other than mine) but I would like to make sure I haven't missed any.

Hope that this is easier to read than the last.
Votecount:

2 – Nmillar (Vitek, Zchinque)
1 – Stuart9001 (Red Baron)
1 – Crazybear (Peanutbrittle)
1 – Robbeasy (Nmillar)

PenutBrittle: Stuart9001 - Feels very town.
I have to ask, since you apparently find no one else to be town like, how come you decided that Stuart feels very much to be town?? Honestly interested, though might not be around to answer any replies tomorrow/day after.

I find a few others to be townlike, or at least not suspicious, but I think I was told that Stuart's a new player (like myself) so his theories of of Crazybear hiding a code in his joke seem like something a new player would automatically assume happens in Mafia and would account for, especially if (like me) he read a few of the general tips and such linked in the main thread.
Unvote Robbeasy since it was just an RVS vote.
Since it is Christmas: vote all.

Vitek: Since it is Christmas: vote all.
Love and Goodwill to you!
Since I rethought my position, and nothing too suspicious has happened since then, unvote.

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals.

Rodzaju: OK.
Enough people have said that they will be around that Isee no need to extend the deadline.

Unless the day ends naturally beforehand, Night will fall 11pm GMT January 3.

Due to Cristmas & new year, I will not prod anyone for the remainder of the day.
avatar
Zchinque: I'd like to ask you to reconsider.
If you're going to keep a strict deadline over Christmas, I think you should prod accordingly. Mod-approved lurking is a very powerful tool for the mafia.
So lynch a lurker.....

I am visiting parents for few days so I won't be able to post much or not at all. Feel free to get this thread moving again.

What changed your opinion about Crazybear?

Nothing in particular. I more just changed my strategy. At first I figured I should always be voting for somebody to make sure my vote wasn't wasted, but that doesn't seem like such a great strategy anymore. I still think the defensiveness of Crazybear is a little weird, but he hasn't posted anything else alarming since then.

Ooh dear. On that topic, crazybear's last post was 5 days ago, and the content was that he would be able to post over this festive period.

Getting a bit too involved in the game here aren't you? Seeing as Crazybear would be getting a prod from mod if it weren't for christmas this could be read as a sort of hint to town... I like to think you wouldn't do that but even so it's created a little bit of "wine in front of me"/"double bluff" situation in my head enough to confuse me.
Actually saying that I should check how many others need prodding shouldn't I? If it's not just crazybear then it's not really worth thinking about.

Ah see. Looks like Rob and Mutters haven't posted in four days and a good few haven't posted for three so it's not just one who would be getting a prod. Only crazybear has the five day stamp but, you know.
This isn't me having a go at anyone - it's christmas come one come all toast on the open fire etcetera.
But finish of your trifle and come back to the game eh?

OH yeah, but the point is: Moderator. Stay out of it yeah?
This was simply a reply to Zchinque who complained that allowing people to lurk would be helping the scum.....
