My PR was a fortune teller for those curious. I could influence the number of votes required to lynch someone by one, but I couldn't control if it went up or down. It was also compulsive if I didn't fulfil my posting restriction of naming a job for every living player. I mostly used it on people I thought were confirmed town and wouldn't really get a lot of votes/attention, but luckily it was positive every time.

I just want you all to know that I'm still upset about the lurker lynch day 1.

I do hope Stuart comes back, though. He seems to have a knack for the game.

And good job Vitek on a very good meta read on Pazzer.

It’s not exactly a demanding job & you tend towards boredom most days. To brighten your day, you started flirting with Giorgio Bassanni, the Hotel Cleaner. The two of you were getting quite close, when Giorgio introduced you to his friend, Adam. Adam, it seemed, was in need of somewhere to stay, but was a little financially challenged. Giorgio wanted to let him in to the hotel, but needed you to make sure that a certain room was never let to a guest.
You have since discovered that Adam is a thoroughly nasty piece of work, but you can’t back out now…

Abilities:
1) Each night, you may PM me the name of another player. You will learn the corresponding Character name.
OR
2) You may PM me the name of another player. That player will be killed. If more than 1 Mafia submits a kill, only the last kill order received will be processed.

It’s a crap job, but it does enable you to keep your head down. It’s amazing how many people never notice a cleaner so you have managed to make a reasonable living pilfering from rich tourists. You’ve also become pretty tight with Adam Snook, the local Mob Boss. With the help of Lisa Latham, the receptionist (and sort of girlfriend), you’ve “rented” a room for Adam in the hotel. You definitely want to stay on his good side because Adam is a “hands on” kind of Mob Boss, if you know what I mean….

Still, it wasn’t all bad. You managed to vent your frustration on that jumped up prat who had the gall to call himself a president….

3) You may PM me the name of another player. That player will be killed. Because of your Strongarm ability, this kill can not be prevented by use of a Doc, Roleblocker or similar ability. If more than 1 Mafia submits a kill, only the last kill order received will be processed.

I should note that Stuart's abilities were NOT 1 shots

For those interested, here's my message to Rod for night 1. It contains some tidbits and ponderings on the game, which may or may not be of interest to you.

"Gah, that was a crappy lynch. By post #360, my last post prior to the lynch being concluded, I figured those wanting a lurker lynch weren't going to be able to pull together. As such I deemed it unnecessary to share my opinion on policy lynches - which I later did in post #398 - as some seem not too happy with me divulging my opinions on what is and is not the "correct" play in various situations, as evidenced by Red_Baron's #408.

I also had a somewhat strong town read on Crazybear, when taken how little he posted into consideration. His attack on Stuart in #271 in particular came across as very town to me (and not because he was attacking Stuart). Don't get me wrong, it was a terrible attack, and it was rightly ignored by everyone, but it very much sounds like an overzealous townie who has gotten wound up.

Another issue is that most of the players who voted for CrazyBear after my #360 did so in more or less scummy ways.

Joe - While he voted for Crazy first a bit later, he was the one to first take an active step towards lynching a lurker with his vote on Orry. I don't like how he says "I'm pretty desperate not to let this day end without a lynch." in #387. Together with his vote on Orry a couple of posts earlier, and how he says lynching Crazy might be "the easiest", it can be construed as setting up a false dichotomy where it's lynch a lurker or don't lynch at all. Which is of course wrong, as lynching Stuart (or myself for that matter, but that seemed very unlikely to me by that point) was certainly an option.
Orry - The first one to leave the Stuart wagon to join in the lurker lynch, even though he voted for Stuart in his very last post prior to voting for Crazy. That doesn't sit quite right with me, and I'll have to ask him about it in the morning, assuming I'm alive.
Vitek - Not so sure his joining the Crazy wagon was scummy, but it was certainly disappointing as I felt we had been pretty much of one mind (which makes me wary in and of itself, but that's a different matter) until then.
Pazzer - His #388 and #394 combined don't read quite right with me, although I have a hard time putting my finger on exactly what it is. Maybe it's nothing.
Red_Baron - I have no real issues with his joining. He was probably correct that by that time, the Stuart lynch was off.

Anyway, doc protection...

As I see it, there are four candidates that stand out. The mafia might of course choose outside of these, but I can't really play cat and mouse with them, so I'll have to go with protecting one of the four.

They are:
Zchinque - I can't protect myself.
Stuart - Despite our issues, he seems to have a real knack for the game, so killing him wouldn't be bad on that alone. The mafia could decide to kill him in order to shovel dirt towards me, but I find that somewhat unlikely. If they want to try a ploy like that, it seems to me that it will be easier to kill me and set up a Stuart lynch, than to kill Stuart and set up a Zchinque lynch.
Vitek - As said, I'm somewhat wary of Vitek. I'm paranoid, and afraid of buddying tactics. But I can't deny that most of what he has said so far in the game has made sense with me, and I've agreed with him.
Joe - His stream-of-consciousness style of posting is one I associate mainly with town players, which makes me want to protect him. Not sure anyone else sees it that way, though, so...

I wouldn't be too surprised if the kill is aimed outside of those four, but then it'd be a total crapshoot for me, so I'm going to protect Vitek."

You are the Hotel Security Guard. This was not always the case.

You used to be a Police officer & a damned good one. But every hero must have a nemesis & Hassan the Turk was yours. No matter how hard you worked, you could never nail him. He was always too fast on his feet, or his lawyer was too fast with his mouth.
Until one day, you got him. It was like a gift from heaven.
Some kid was being mugged in the park & you were the first on the scene. There he was, just out walking his dog, at the wrong place at the wrong time. Or perhaps the right place at the right time.
You drew your gun. You missed the mugger, but got revenge on The Turk. It cost you your badge, but you weren’t too bothered. You were, however surprised at how good it felt to kill someone.
Now a civilian, you have never had that feeling again.
The current crisis has given you an opportunity to relive that thrill. If there is a killer in the hotel, you have a chance to sate your lust & lay the blame elsewhere….
The hotel manager is the only person who knows of your past. You should be sure it stays that way.

Abilities:
At night, you may PM me the name of another player. This player will be killed. You may only use this ability once.

Win Condition:
UNLESS you are replaced or modkilled, you win when the game ends in either a Mafia win or a Town win. You must be alive at this point & must have successfully killed someone to claim victory.

I did decide that, if he was roleblocked & didn't get the chance to attempt a kill, the ability would not be used up.
If the victim was saved (Doc / whatever) Then it would be wasted.

I was dithering over whetehr to allow a lynch to count, if he was the hammer, but this turned out not to be neccesary.

If I recall correctly, I mentioned in #8 scumtalk that I would have to find a use for that....!!
