Mansell's was a beautiful overtake too. Again on the wrong side, but he had the bravery to stick with it and *just* get ahead enough to sneak through the corner first!! I miss those days!
By the way, I saw this video of BBC Top Gear's Richard Hammond attempting two laps in Fernando Alonso's Championship winning Renault. It highlights how ridiculously hard it is to drive an F1 car! Especially considering Hammond has tonnes of experience in driving, he's done races, all kinds of cars/bikes etc...

You miss those days ? So do I. Check this out :

A fantastic moment.
Senna didn't get on with Prost half as well, but they had some superb battles.

Massa is back home, gave his first interview. (don't have a link sorry).
He's set his goal to get back in a racing car. I really hope he makes it.

Found this on the bbc website, don't know if it works outside the UK
Today for the 1st time, I saw a picture of Massa. It doesn't look as bad as I thought considering what happened. I mean, he didn't lose his eye. I just hope there won't be any further complications...
Is there a picture of the helmet somewhere ?
edit : nevermind. I have found a good one.

Just in case anyone hasn't heard yet; Michael Schumacher has had to withdraw from his come back due to an ongoing neck injury.

A shame and somewhat of an anti-climax, but who can blame the guy if his health would be in question.
Also do Ferrari not have any test drivers?! With other teams, am I right in saying that should an injury occur, there are test drivers ready to step in?
EDIT
D'oh! Just realised Badoer *IS* Ferrari's test driver! Due to my rampant ageism, I thought he was another one from the past they had dug up.
Some top video's on here! Thank you. I loved the Senna/Prost battles! They were a class above!

Well, in a way he is. He's 38 and has been testing since 1998!
It's too bad we can't see Schumacher against the new talent, but in all, it's much better this way. Move on, you've had much more than your 15 minutes of fame. The young unknowns need their chance.

You're right I think. Like him or loathe him, Schumacher's name will be synonymous with F1 and success. Imagine if he had come back only to be humiliated, I think it would have tainted his legacy.
We'll just have to imagine whether he'd still have enough about him to dominate the field like he used to.
Valencia qualification soon... who's watching?
[edit] Luca Badoer out in Q1(last place!), very very slow... not good! He'll have to do a lot better in the race or Ferrari will have to get another replacement in.
Looks (at this point) like a three way fight between Mclaren, Brawn and Red Bull for the race tomorrow.
Here's hoping for a British one-two!
[edit2]
Well, Mclaren 1-2 on the grid, hard to see anyone but Hamilton winning this one. Roll on sunday!

Best to wait until the fuel loads are announced before we start any predictions for the race. Bloody hell, I hate this qualifying with fuel on board malarkey; never quite sure of who is actually quickest until a sodding press release.

Well, being on pole is usually a hefty advantage unless Hamilton is really under-fueled.
My biggest suprise was Button really, down in 5th. Hopefully he's got a heavy tank, but he didn't seem overly positive when he was interviewed post-qualification.

Yes I would imagine Hamilton is probably there on pace, not sure about Kovi though. Agreed about Button, hopefully he is a few laps heavier than those in front.
Edit: Weights have been released and there doesn't appear to be more than a couple of laps between the cars at the front. I was wrong about Heikki; he is slightly heavier than Lewis.

What a race! Of course I was cheering for the winner (I'll keep this spoiler-free, for now) but it was impressive to see guys like Rossberg creeping up the positions race after race or even Sutil keeping up the pace (ok, some spoilers there). What's Spa going to look like!
