Anyone else have this collection? I have little experience with dosbox, would it be possible to install these games on a computer running Windows 8 and run them with dosbox? I'm looking at Eye of the Beholder 1, 2 and 3 in particular.

I'd rather GOG rerelease the games in this collection, but we see how that seems to be going...

Should be possible if they're DOS games. You can check the DOSBox site to see if someone has submitted a compatibility rating for them.

It looks promising: http://www.dosbox.com/comp_list.php?letter=A&search=eye+of+the+beholder&submit=Search

I imagine they would have been high on the list of games to get working since they were pretty popular.

Considering I played most of those games in DOSBox some 6-7 years ago, I'm sure you'll be fine ;). They were one of the first games I tried with DOSBox because back then, computers were struggling to run newer games.
I kinda assume there's a problem with rights with the older (SSI) D&D games since we haven't gotten any of them.

That's very well possible - I do vaguely remember hearing something about SSI and the rights of some of those games. Maybe it was over at Abandonia because they never asked for any of the games to be taken down from the site.
