And Asterix (by Konami).

I played those both games on arcade cab when I was younger, it was awesome !

I've heard of at least one Ringworld adventure game, and I've played the demos to both Strife and Chasm: The Rift.

Pretty sure I tried Pit Fighter as well, at least for 10 minutes or so.

Edit: Nope, glanced at the Pit Fighter video, must have been a different game.

I could think of a few Shareware games that have fallen into the cracks of time, like Skunny in Save Our Pizzas or Chopper Commando. I played them both a lot as a kid, but I put em down forever when I found Dracula in London on the same disc.

It was one of those huge shareware discs that had like 1000 games on it. Some were well-known ones like the Duke Nukem shareware, others were more obscure like Hugo's House of Horrors, but lots of people have still heard of that. Most of the games were card games, though. Probably because they're among the easiest computer games to make.
Most PC wargames, for good or ill. Anyone remembers the battlegrounds series ?

pezhead53: The Secret Island of Dr. Quandary. It was made by MECC of Number Muncher and Oregon Trail fame, Similar to the Dr. Brain series, you point-and-click your way around an island, solving brainteasers to get ingredients to a potion to turn you from a doll back into a human(it makes sense in context). After playing it again through *ahem* immoral methods, I found it still is a quite fun edutainment title.
Oh man, I remember that game too. Lots of fun.
Fire Fight

Galapagos: Mendel's Escape (note: the narator sounds strangely familiar to the narator of the Rainbow Six games =P)

Seek and Destroy

Just remember? Battleground Bull Run is one of my all-time favorites.
I've still got most of the original American Civil War Battleground series -- if anyone's interested they're selling an updated version at Matrix Games.

I'm sorry I can't post any links at the moment, but it shouldn't be hard to find if you're interested.
Thanks for the Mensh ChrisSD!

There's probably a load of old C64 games to list because I had so many and it was such a long time ago - Action Biker, Banana Drama, New York City, Whirlienurd tro name but a few

But for games actually released on PC Hmmm
The Kristal
Neuromancer
A Fool's Errand

Oh and for those that remember Archon, are you aware that there's a remake on Steam?

Haven't gotten around to nabbing it yet has anyone got it? how well have they done at re-capturing the essence?
Cheers!

Just for info, but in case you didn't know, the Fool's Errand is available to download for free.
