Did your pooch make the list?
Top 10 Most Popular Dogs in the U.S.

2. German Shepherd Dog
3. Yorkshire Terrier
4. Golden Retriever
5. Beagle
6. Boxer
7. Bulldog
8. Dachshund
9. Poodle
10. Shih Tzu
Yarp. Beagle. A dumb one at that.
I prefer cats, don't have either at the moment though.
I had a cat.
It died.
I need another soulmate.
Cats are as hard as girls to please so I think I'll go with a girl this time. At least I can have sex with her.
Hate cats. Besides chickens and cattle I had 3 dogs, my first was a Basset Hound and she had to be put down 2 months ago. I got a Yellow Lab when I was 12 and she died years ago from cancer at 7. Recently I got a black lab after the first one died and before I put down my Basset, she's about 2 and overly hyper and can't be trained to hunt like first one. I want a beagle but got stuck with my current (dumb) lab after my brother dumped her on me as a grief dog.
I was a dog person (Had a dog.) and loathed cats, saw them as pests until my parents decided they should get one.
That cat totally converted me and now I can't stand dogs. Funny how it goes.
I'd like a cat, but my dog won't let me have one. It will also never be in the top 10. A Jack Russell Terrier.

You can't do a cat because...?
KIDDING.
My lab and beagle (Whiny little bitches they are...) made the list, as well as my oddly lesbian Dachshund.
I would love a cat, but there's no way I'm paying several thousand dollars for an animal. Like everything else here, the prices that pet shops try to charge you are beyond belief -- hell, I've seen top quality pedigree show cats sold for less than the mongrels they're trying to peddle here.

Try a kitten. They usually do very well with older dogs. :)

You're strange or a city dweller. Everyone that's not a, well, person that have grown up in a city buy their cats, dogs, rabbits and so forth from a neighbour or someone they know that have a animal that have recently delivered.

Well, Jack Russell Terriers have a tendency to think that everything smaller than a human is meant for chasing (and attacking when caught). Especially balloons.

This is the age of internet so you have to do way better than that.

Had a lab, before he died. =(
Unfortunately, it's unlikely that I'll ever own a dog or cat again (I love both) because I'm incredibly allergic to both cats and dogs.

Tarm: snip

I don't ever remember calling you It.
