Which brings me to this threads purpose, What have you seen or heard in the last little while that has made you lose the will to live (metaphorically speaking. Not actually considering suicide)

Yet another sob story or artificially produced drama on [insert reality singing/cooking show here]. I'm a victim of circumstance because everyone else likes these shows, so I have to sit there and be quiet.

I had to watch most of this past seasons X Factor, I found if i stayed quiet during the "singing" (and I use that term very loosely) and made sarcastic comments during the non "singing" bits it made it bearable

My boss decided the 2 teams at work should sit with their respective teams, they mostly do now except one person because they need an adjustable desk for OHS reasons.

She sits with my team when she's in the other team. I suggest just moving her into my team (I'm the TL) so that everyone doesn't need to move completely for one person.

Boss says "no, I want you to physically move"... you make no sense boss!

On a wider scale... local 'news' site here news.com.au top story yesterday "quiz: which reality star are you' .. really? This is news now? When did people become so obsessed with having information every second that news sites are just full of wasted words.

not certain if i am unique, but the average christmas songs have pretty much the same effect after your forced to listen to them non stop. :)

Ive experienced similar situations to what your having with your teams, the reason might be different but when I questioned the actions I was told it was to do with the other staff members "dignity in the workplace" The irony to that being he got on well with our team and was openly hostile to his own team.

You could be right, my suspicion is that with the layout we suggested the other TL sat right near the door. He is known for his high number of smoke breaks so I think she's wanting to make him walk past everyone when he goes for a break.. but I feel like if that's the case then she should manage him better rather than disrupt everyone.
