I noticed a really strange phenomenon today.
Is it possible that GOG really is the only forum in the entire web without a football thread?
It almost seems like, because I couldn’t find one (at least not on the first couple of pages).
Of course I’m aware of the fact that this is a gaming forum but it seems like people are talking about all kinds of stuff (music, movies …). There is even a My Little Pony thread and at least one sports related thread (the Handegg giveaway).

So what happened? Are there no football fanatics around here?

I never really came in contact with american football, so no opinion.
If you refer to Soccer? meh. greedy officials, overpayed idiots and a bunch of drunken, rassist twats ruining the show for the ordinary people. Why should I even care?

Thanks for your philosophical approach on the subject but I´m shure that you are aware of the fact that not everybody sees it that way. I was really just checking if there´s somebody interested here to talk a bit about football.

So, that means you're a notorious car thief then? ;) I was born here, so that's just dumb luck I guess. Apart from that I like to think of myself as european. And I never met a woman that had a problem with me not watching football.

There is more truth to Germans being fanatical about football than Poles stealing cars.
Also to my understanding the football thing isn't nearly as offensive as implying that all Poles are criminals. :P

Poles stealing cars is obviously a stupid and offensive prejudice but Germans being fanatical about football doesn´t make a lot of sense either because English, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and a dozen of other nations are at least as fanatical about football as Germans.
