nothing for April's fool day ??
I'm quite disappointed GOG :(

you missed a great chance for publicity and to make us laugh
They're shutting down again.
I've been made a fool by Stardock already, don't need GoG to rub salt in the wound :P
Still early.

WATCH THE SKIES!
Blizzard always does something funny on this day as well as many other companies

It's not time yet so we can hope for something special from GOG.com as well =)

They got quite a backlash the last time the did a joke. Granted, that was in september, wasn't it?

Actually that would be a sort of funny thing to be released on April 1st as everyone would assume it to be a joke, especially if the announcement was framed appropriately. Then, the next day, nope it's real - double fools joke. And it would have a happy ending. :)

no one would believe that SS2 would come, when this is announced today... they have to come up with something great, that nobody would think of...

read my post right above yours, that's why it would be brilliant if it were true. Nobody would believe it. :)

We considered announcing System Shock, Syndicate Wars, every single Star Wars game ever, and even the Final Fantasy games today, but decided that would be cruel, even if it was an obvious joke.

I also tried to convince the team here to announce our new publisher who we've actually signed today, just because no one would believe us. But we decided that was too much of case of messing with everyone's head.

Yes, your consideration is what you are so well known for... *cough*shutdown*cough* ;-)

(well, it actually worked for me, as I signed up immediately afterwards ...)

What about a prank where the GOG website gets taken down, replaced by a message about GOG not being able to continue in its current form. Foolproof!
