Welcome to Flame War™, where you can make petty insults, cuss like there's no tomorrow, or make a rational discussion preferring one side over the other. Each week (or so) I'll post two things that are more or less the same in terms of its own kind, and you'll just flame on over what's better. It's online advocacy, but with more insults to one's mother. Where it's perfectly acceptable to act like half your age online.
This week, we'll debate the finer points of two fast food franchises that has stores all over the world. Would you prefer the common-yet-hated McDonald's, or the common-yet-hated Burger King?

They're made from the same animals as burgers.

Stop, please.

Burger King. In Norway, the burgers on McDonald's are tiny, whereas the Burger King burgers are huge in comparance. Also, it tastes better. And we don't have a Burger King in my area, so I've yet to grow tired of their burgers. And they're cheaper, if you take what you get into consideration.

That is what made his shoes so delectable. Extra bonus for happy taste!

Normally I would say Burger King, but after moving around the country a bit and finding that Burger King alternatively sucks or rules, depending on where you are, I gotta go with Mickey Dee's. No matter where you are, it tastes the same. A Big Mac is still a Big Mac in Detroit, LA, Boston, Miami, New York... even Bangor, Maine. A Whopper might be a Whopper in Boston, but it is one step above cow dung in Detroit, downright offensive in LA, perfect in New York, edible in Miami and I'm not sure that was actually meat in Bangor.
From my experience with both here in Denmark, I have to go with Burger King. The burgers are larger, and don't leave you hungry half an hour after you've eaten one. They also taste better. And the fact that they make what you order after you've ordered it, is also a big bonus. I'm so tired of getting soft, lukewarm fries at McDonald's, that have been sitting in a cardboard wrapper under a lamp for the better part of half an hour.
Sadly, there are very few Burger Kings here in Denmark. There are only two in Copenhagen, and they're friggin' right next to each other! You can literally see from one to the other, as they're basically on opposite sides of the Copenhagen Town Square. On the other hand, you can hardly throw a rock over your shoulder without hitting a McDonald's.
I eat at Whataburger. I can see the patty without hunting for it like at McDonald's and I don't like Burger King's flame broiled crap. It always tastes a bit off to me.
McDonalds' fries win me over. I used to work at Burger King where the fries are too crispy and don't really taste even remotely like potato anymore.
