My first game ever on a PC was some kind of 3D Tetris...."3D Block Out" maybe...? It was on a 286 in our IT room at school....loaded from a 5"25 disk (I even had to boot from disk because there was no harddrive in that system).

The first game on our very own PC at home I really played was "Might and Magic III - Isles of Terra" on a 486DX2 40Mhz with 4 MB of RAM, 120MB HDD and a Mitsumi DoubleSpeed CD-ROM (300 kb/s). I had to turn off the turbo switch (to reduce the CPU clock from 40 Mhz to 20 Mhz) to play that game properly - that system was too fast for that game! :)

If you mean PC specifically then it was Prisoner of Ice.

If you mean computers in general then it was Adam's Family (at least I think that was the title) on Amiga CDTV.
Hm... on my own PC-compatible computer, it would be NFS2 (Need for Speed II). I've played some demos (Thief, NFL Blitz, Dark Vengeance, Top Gun 98 and so on) before, but that's the first game I've purchased.

Before that, I've played some games at friends, and the first would be... Prince of Persia, nor sure which one, but I think it was II, on some 386 computer with DOS.

Even before that, if we count Commodore, it would be some (name unknown to me) F1 game.
Mine was probably Prince of Persia. Didn't play it much as, not ling after, I grabbed Wing Commander 1 and 2, Wolfenstein 3D and Gunship 2000. Then I discovered Lemmings and I disappeared from the real world for a few days...
Prince of Persia back in the Nineties. There's an old thread on this topic, anyway....
