GameRager: I'm just stating my opinion and having a bit of fun doing so. Stop being so grouchy.

Also if you think this is trolling then you either don't know what real trolling is or know the difference but use the term anyways as a weasel tactic in conversations. I hope for your sake it's the former.

xa_chan: I hear you loud and clear. But I still remember how you treated people who were "stating their opinions and having a bit of fun doing so" about DNF. You lost all credibility for me in that very thread.
Doesn't justify bringing it up in here to cause trouble, now does it?

Or is airing dirty laundry a viable tactic for you?

You are upset at the DNF thread. I get it. Now move on and get over it like everyone else.

I was having fun in here, and enjoying reading other people's views on the topic at hand.(I wasn't even majorly bashing the films just saying mainly that I didn't like them.....again albeit in a silly over the top fashion)....and then you come in and shit all over everything because you don't like how I write.

Now please for the sake of the thread try to stay on tppic at the very least. If you must discuss my past deeds use PM like civil people.

GameRager: ]Peter Jackson will just make it daw serious as usual. And throw in some elves in tights to get the female fandom pegged down.
Actually it's sexy dwarf time for the ladies.... though how they'll know if the dwarf they're lusting over is male or female is another matter.

Female....dwarves? I didn't know they made those.
I believe Thorin is a chick magnet now. And Galadriel for horny teenagers.
Hobbit should be ... brighter? It's a childrens book really, this will pretty much be a LotR prequel.
I'll absolutely be in the ticket line anyway.

my my, aren't we all vertuous all of a sudden? Yeah, ok, keep on playing your mind games. Don't worry about me, it was the last time I was answering you.

Back on topic: it's true that I didn't see Thorin Oakenshield that way. A little too young to my taste. But we'll see. The fact that it will be two movies makes me think that PJ will be able to take his time to tell the story the right way.

I am actually being civil or trying to. It is you who is being rude it seems. Also, why answer me at all if you were done, if not to stir the shit again?

I had actually gotten the topic back on track before you chimed in.

I'm guessing you are just taking the piss with me....if so thenTrolling attempt 2/10

Oh, great, now I will have to clean all these rainbows from my clothes and the ground.
Looks good. Altough, trailer whole one year before?!

I assume Jackson wants to make it more mature and similar to LOTR experience. Plus dwarf / hobbit jokes, of course ;)
Two downers... No battle of the five armies, and the dwarves look ridiculous. I am waiting for Snow White to appear at any moment. Hopefully they have some CGI work left to do on them.

they're trying to break some ticket selling records, most definitely :P

Battle of the five armies will probably take place in the second part of the movie.

Dwarves look great for me.

btw. it's a trailer a year before the premiere, so I assume most breath-taking scenes are still being rendered or even shot :P

CaptainGyro: I'm not a huge fan of the LotR trilogy either, but after Jersey Girl , Kevin Smith doesn't get the right to make fun of movies.
I took it less as Kevin Smith making fun of movies and more Kevin Smith making fun of fanboys. Which makes people parroting the statements hilarious. They are the people Smith was warning us about.
They always made pre-real-trailer footage thingies to help score distribution deals and do merchandising and stuff. If you want the big screens next december, you have to make the deals now. And these guys want all the big screens when this comes out. Needs a lot of movie seats to make that billion $$ mark.

Nowadays it's just so easy to create some extra hype by releasing them to public viewing.
(Easy when it's Tolkien or Star Wars stuff)
