It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Yesterday, I was testing XML Notepad 2007 (excellent program BTW) to fix the Firefox search plugin for IMDb, because the string to search in the webpage was changed lately and it wasn't working anymore. And while I was at it, I remembered that just days ago, I was looking for a Search Plugin for GameFAQs, but I couldn't find one in the Firefox plugins page... so I decided to make one myself!

I use the general search plugins a lot, to look for something or just to load those sites with a click.

And the result for the one I made, I think, was excellent. So, now that I was "inspired" I decided to make another for Steam, Desura, and of course, GOG. Later I found out that Steam has its own official one, but I like mine better because is "nicer" (:P).

The main purpose of these plugins is to search for a game in those sites using the words in the search bar while you're not in the site, or to load the main page for games in those sites if no word is included in the search bar.

I'm not planning and interested in uploading those plugins to the Firefox site or elsewhere, but for my fellows "GOGers", if anybody is interested in them, and if I'm not breaking any copyright law (:P), I could upload them to my MediaFire account and share the links only with you. Each one is a simple XML file and is very easy to include them in Firefox if you can access your profile folder, and copy them in the folder "searchplugins".

I have included a screenshot if you want to know how they look. Please, don't worry if you see the text of the screen in Spanish, because is just my Firefox browser and my OS.

And if anybody is thinking in GamersGate's, I didn't make one because I don't use it like the others that much, but if anyone is interested, I think is going to be easy to make it ;)

Cheers :)

EDIT: Added MobyGames and GamersGate.

That is actually an awesome idea.

Mobygames would be another good one to do.
Could you send me the string for the GOG search?

uh, Azrael360, I found that using Google "gog.com (search)" is faster... :P
