Hi,

when I use Firefox 23 on Widows 7 the order button isn't displayed, so I can't order anything.

Because of that I used Firefox on my Android tablet, where I could order the game I wanted, switched over to Windows and loaded it down.

Now I have the problem that I can*t log out in Android, because the drop down list of 'My Account' doesn't drop down. When I log out on Windows, I nevertheless stay logged in on Android.

What the heck is going on here? Any help would of course be very much appreciated

Cheers

Use chrome ;)
Try deleting cache and/or cookies. ;)
1
use ctrl+shift+A (Add-ons manager)
- disable some security addons

2
or Help-> restart with addons disabled

I had that problem. My fix was to uninstall and then re-install Firefox and plugins, but I'm quick to delete and reinstall. I know what the source of the problem was for me, so it might be worth a look for you as well: a plugin that made Java get all stupid and not work properly. So maybe you just need to fix or remove some additional content.

Using Firefox 22 now and no problems, so worst case you could try rolling back a version and seeing if that helps.
"Use chrome ;)"

Yeah and when I have problems with Chrome I use IE and when I have problems with IE I use FF and ...

"Try deleting cache and/or cookies. ;)"

Did that but to no avail.

Why would anyone use IE? I am not that fuckin mean... I would not wish that on anybody!

Those are two different login sessions. Logging out of one does not affect the other, as you noticed.

GOG's site is not very Android-friendly. Not sure if it's better on other mobile devices.

Which "order" button do you mean? "Add to cart" or "Process order now"?
Are all your plugins up to date / stable ? That could be an explanation. But I have the feeling Firefox 23 is the problem.

64-bit so less memory used, no Privacy Issues (looking at you Chrome), not a memory hog (looking at you Firefox), quite fast, if it supported plugins I wouldn't need another browser.
[edit] The 64-bit using less memory may be incorrect, thanks to ET3D for correcting me[/edit]

Disregard the above if you are still using XP, IE8 and lower do suck.

@OP
If you mean the "Process Order", try zooming out or reducing font size. Also, are all fields for the Credit Card visible or is one missing? That is usually caused by the font size being too large, though if the screen width is too small it may also cause this.

"Why would anyone use IE?"

Looking at this forum when there is a problem with one browser the GoG-support people always recommend using onother one - instead of adressing the real issue.

"Which "order" button do you mean? "Add to cart" or "Process order now"?"

'Add to cart'

"Are all your plugins up to date / stable ? "

Yep, every other website works just fine.

"are all fields for the Credit Card visible or is one missing?"

There is only a grey box with a 'in progress' swirl at its center.

Why so serious?! I have firefox, opera and chrome installed... if there's a problem I move to another one. Nothing wrong with that. I certainly wouldn't use IE, horrible piece of shit it is. Don't be so serious by the way... really takes the fun out of things.
I just manged to log out on Android: Flashing the FF cache did the trick.

So probably a cookie was the culprit. That's the way they handle such things? Doesn't seem quite up to date to me.

"Don't be so serious by the way... really takes the fun out of things."

You're right of course. But it's really frustating when a help desk just gives thiose standard answers that don't solve anything but will get the ticket closed.

And additionally the sale of the game I wanted ran out during all this fuss.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but I routinely accumulate 200-300 tabs open at a time in Firefox without bad system slowdowns. Sure, it may be using one or two gigs of RAM, but...three hundred tabs? I kinda hafta let that slide ;)

Honestly, just use Chrome, I mean that's clearly what the Firefox developers want you to use. And this coming from somebody that's been using Firefox since it was called Phoenix.

You're joking, right? 64-bit browsers use more memory than 32-bit browsers do. Also, every benchmark I've seen for the last few years has Firefox using less RAM than any of the major browsers.
