And to think I thought the topic was related to retail copies.
Hah, wow. €60 is just barely below what retail copy of a brand new PC game costs here in Norway, so Kotick can go fuck himself for this shit. The worst part is that it's still among the best selling games on Steam right now. Fucking sheep...
It's got a great price in Japan! $0.00 with no option to buy. Once again, proving that Valve don't give a crap about false advertising. One of these days, someone really needs to take them to task on that; it must be violating at least one trading standard.

michaelleung: Maybe that will beat the pants off MW2.

Navagon: Gameplay-wise, I have no doubt. MW2's single player 'gameplay' videos were comprised of scripted sequences and cut scenes. Never once are you the man behind the gun... WTF?

You could nearly say the same for playing COD4, it was the most heavily scripted game I'd ever played

That's why those clips put me off more than anything. It seemed like they were trying to turn it into MGS4. Just because I like the Tex Murphy games doesn't mean I want my FPS to be comprised of in game movies. Gameplay plz.

Navagon: I'm assuming all this hype is based on Modern Warfare. A game with a short single player and completely unsupported, cheater-riddled multiplayer that was never at any one time worth bothering with. While the single player was good while it lasted, I don't see how it was worth the high fixed price or why anyone would be interested in a sequel to it.

Because here you get epic graphixx and gr8 gameplay (=pew pew pew, kill hundreds of 'em like a demigod, next level. rinse and repeat). Great for kids, that is.

And because of those sheep that fucktard Kottick will continue in that shit he makes.

If they want great visuals and no gameplay then why not just watch a film? It will probably last longer too.

Barely below? You need to shop around, as that's quite expensive even for a retail game. €60 Euro is 500 NOK, typical PC-games costs 400-450 NOK around here.

And it will become only worse.....
EDIT:
MW2 for 40€ with a movie as a preorder bonus and cdkey usable on Steam vs. 60€ directly from steam.
One can only LOL @ ST€AM.

Ahhh, $89.99 (USD!). I laughed when I saw that.
COD4 was $88.50 on steam at it's release for Australians IIRC. Which means this one now takes the record for overpriced gaming.

Or rather, laugh at the idiots who buy it through Steam. I've seen it even cheaper than that though. £25, which isn't much more in Euros. Even then it's still overpriced.

Oh yes, but fanboyism>>>>common sense, so they would buy it on Steam even if it was much more expensive.

Even though they can not only register boxed copies with Steam, but HAVE to... Yeah, sad...
