I certainly can't see anything that justifies the added expense.
Its like a reverse sale, Everything MUST stay!

Like I said on Twitter, someone on my Steam friends list actually bought it. Like, for real.

Write to valve and ask them to develop the "smack over the internet" device, sounds like you need it...
Assuming its got the same length as 4, that'll be about $15 an hour

$15 an hour? That's still cheaper than a night at the BunnyRanch.
£34.99 to me in the UK....not really my type of game though. I get bored of them far too easily.
lol, was in college a few years back, updating my quals, and the tutor brought in his Unreal Tournament 2004 for us to all install and play a LAN game (configuring LAN for a network was part of the course, and this was a fun way to test it. He said ;)).
He said that no one could ever beat him at FPS games. He won the first 3 or 4 rounds, but after that, he never won another. I always managed to find a nice spot where he'd run past inside 30 seconds, and *boom! Head Shot!*
He got quite surly about that, as I recall ^_^
EDIT : Hmm, Fallout 1 is £6.99. That makes the gog version around £2.50 cheaper....

Awesome price here too...
59,99 EUR. :woot:
(not!)
For 60 Euro, I better get a happy ending or three...
People still care about that game?
For 60 Euro, the game better come with a state of the art graphics card. No way in Hell am I paying €60 for a game.

Navagon: People still care about that game?

Not really.
Even if it was all magic, I would still not get it, simply because it has no dedicated servers.
(I was just stating the awesomeness of the price. :))

KavazovAngel: Not really.

I'm assuming all this hype is based on Modern Warfare. A game with a short single player and completely unsupported, cheater-riddled multiplayer that was never at any one time worth bothering with. While the single player was good while it lasted, I don't see how it was worth the high fixed price or why anyone would be interested in a sequel to it.
It's just another FPS. I've been playing them since the release of Doom and still am today, but there's no way this or any FPS is worth this much attention. Never mind the asking price.

Maybe Counter Strike 2. :p
MW is so popular because it was good on a console. You know, give those guys an auto-aim and pretty much an auto-shot, auto-match-making tool because they pretty much know crap when it comes to sorting a list of servers (I'm taking about the average mom and dad that play this game) and they'll worship you for the rest of their life.
No offense to anyone owning a console, but seriously, a FPS can't be better on a console than on a PC (unless the developers really wanted it to be that way). Too bad we're getting pushed aside, more and more developers prefer the consoles (more money no doubt).
Lets see them now organizing pro gaming tournaments in MW2. Just imagine the teams. :)

By Valve? To be released after Portal 2 and Episode 3? Ha! Even those with Duke Nukem Forever pre-ordered don't have that much patience.

One of the Counter Strike creators, that Vietnamese guy is making his own Counter Strike spiritual sucessor called Tactical Intervention that's coming out this year. Maybe that will beat the pants off MW2.

Gameplay-wise, I have no doubt. MW2's single player 'gameplay' videos were comprised of scripted sequences and cut scenes. Never once are you the man behind the gun... WTF?
In terms of multiplayer, it will no doubt actually be supported. Which by itself makes it infinitely better than anything Infinity Ward could manage. If Tactical Intervention doesn't use Punk Buster then we have a hands down winner.
