The 3D remake got so many ports, they probably had the sources ready for a PC adaptation close at hand.

You know what? I don't care about that, as long as they fix the bugs for the PC releases and port more Final Fantasy games to PC.
I would love to see them all on PC finally, and also other huge Japanese RPG series and games (also not by Square). Dragon Quest (aka Dragon Warrior) comes to mind, and of course the games that never were released here and swim in the waters of obscurity even among the RPG experts, like Treasure of the Rudras, G.O.D., etc.

And yes, I agree about the DRM being too much. Without the DRM I would have bought the FF7 remake immediately, but with it I waited for the Steam version since it had SecuROM removed (Square account still needed -.-)

SCPM: In light of their recent comments, by 'PC' I take it they mean Steam + Square Enix account. To play a single-player game. :(
Unless you live in Japan where it means from their shitty store only with no Steam support. I'd rather have it on Steam thanks.

Bloody hell, I'd ask what percentage it is of the world that has their head up their arse, but I guess all that really matters is whether or not the arseheads are in control of anything.

Emulation it is.

Fever_Discordia: Hey I just remembered that this comes right after the announcement that Sony sold all their Sqeenix shares - I wonder if the 2 are connected, like maybe Sqaure wanted to do more PC stuff and fell out with Sony over it or if they're desperate for cash just doing whatever they can to raise some funds?
I heard that 'Bravely Default' did quite well for them recently though, maybe too little too late?
eh they already ported the ds remake of 3 to psp and ios, I want to say that they released 4 ds and a TAY remake (in the vein of 3/4 ds) on ios too. Wouldn't be surprised if they ended up on pc too.

Its probably the same as it was on the DS. But I rather prefer the 2D traditional NES version, I already got an emulaotr with a Fan-Translation.

And again, please Square release Final Fantasy 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 on PC with the improved graphics from PSP/iOS.

I played a bit of both the DS and PSP versions. Both are pretty similar to eachother. Both good versions for their respective handhelds.

Umh, I don't like the character design. I think I'll wait for a discount. I grabbed FF7 and 8 on release to support Square-Enix, but this...I don't know.
