MobiusArcher: Steam more or less is PC gaming now.
According to whom? Steam is mostly full of console port games, not PC exclusives. And any PC exclusives on Steam are almost definitely available DRM-free outside Steam.
And any game made to be played with a keyboard/mouse while using a monitor is by default more complex than games designed to be played with a gamepad while using a TV while sitting back on a couch.
Keyboard + Mouse + Monitor designed games = Requires one to be sitting upright at a desktop/notebook close to the screen to be able to read things, keyboard means having to type things, and the mouse means more intricacy in control.
Gamepad + TV = Higher resolution spread across much larger screen means sitting way back from the TV is required, ie sitting back on a couch while eating dorittos and mountain dew ie laziness (as opposed to the more monocled stance of PC gamers, sitting at a desktop properly). Sitting back from the screen pretty much rules out any games on console where one has to read anything on the screen. Gamepad doesn't have the accuracy of a mouse, pushing buttons always lends itself to action-orientated fast-paced games, not thinking games that require intelligence.
Consoles are for the generation who didn't get a proper education, or are suffering from undiagnosed ADHD.
