honorbuddy: If you have a show where the main character croaks then that guy would not be the main character, so basically what you are saying is that you want a show with no main characters. But then who would I root for? If each week a new person was introduced, I would probably not give a rat's ass about him.
anjohl: You WOULD care about the main characters, because it would be well-written. See Rome, or Lost for examples of ensemble casts where almost nobdy is safe.
Jack couldn't be anymore safer. And I've only seen the first 2 or 3 eps of Rome but it seemed like the woman with the large boobs and that blonde soldier with the knucklehead were going to be main characters. All I am trying to say is that there has to be some kind of thread holding it all together. But don't get me wrong, I am not saying that 24 is the best show ever, two seasons ago before he went to Africa I thought was kind of weak, and 24 has about zero plausibility, if I could travel across DC in 20 min it would make my commute to work about a thousand times better.
By the way, Friday the 13th series?! I didn't know that even existed, is it any good? I am actually kind of pumped to check it out, thanks!
Edit: I didn't notice the almost nobody. Which makes my Jack point a moot one. :(
