Original Gameboy.

But other than that I was always more of a PC gamer than a console gamer, since we didn't have a TV at home.
PC.

Trying to figure out what my second favourite would be. For nostalgic reasons I would probably have to say either NES or SNES, but from a more practical point of view, a Wii allows me a vastly different gaming experience to that which I can get on my PC.
Super Nintendo

tinyE: Colecovision!

Seriously, what kind of a sick twisted ass clown sadomasocist designed that controller!? It was like trying to play Donkey Kong with a TI-81 Scientific Calculator!
That looks like the Atari 7800 controller if you take away the number pad.

That's really all Coleco was, an Atari clone.
Gameboy! I got one in the early 90's, when it was huge, and would take it pretty much everywhere, playing Mario and Castlevania nonstop till my fingers bled. Ah, the memories.

Yeah, but in this case, it looks like Atari copied their design (5200 had this style, with number pad, but was released a few months later than ColecoVision).

The Atari 7800 is also one of my favorite systems. Played newer games (for the time) and had backwards compatibility to play games from the 2600.
Even though I started gaming on the Sega Megadrive my favorite has to be the Playstation 2. It just had so many great games for it, so much more than previous generations.
ps3!!! wooT!

retro wise, super Nintendo or sega genesis. more SNES then SEGA.

dreamcast was also a favorite of mine, because of the sword of the berserk game. what a great game that was!!

The one I was most excited over was - NES. However I use my PSP more than anyhting now and can still play all those NES games via emulation ;-)
Super Nintendo by a mile. I switched to PC gaming after that and while I have dabbled in consoles here and there nothing has compared to the SNES.

I found the PS1 to be the worst. Just horrible too soon 3D graphics and bad gameplay.
Ps2 and N64. I still play a lot of n64 games via emulation (mostly Majora's Mask over and over), and my ps2 sees more playtime my ps3/wii
A tie between Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. SNES probably had better overall games, but Genesis had more of my favorites.

Either way that was a fantastic era for gaming.

Same here.

I somewhat hate the NES due its brutal difficulty and lack of features.
Playstation 2, by a large margin, followed by the SNES.

Sega Saturn. Imported Capcom fighting games with the 4MB cart and countless amazing shmups from Japan. Not to mention some wonderful translations from Working Designs (Dragon Force, Iron Storm) and I was lucky enough to buy Panzer Dragoon Saga when it released.

The Dreamcast was also fun because I knew people with literally every game made for it.

I should add the NES because I grew up with it.
