Any fans of these horror games? I was playing the original last night for the first time in years. I forgot how creepy and unique these games are.

A shame they never came out for pc. The high resolution and mouse control would be perfect for the camera gameplay.
I heard that Fatal Frame 2 is out on PSN right now, so check it out if you want.
I own the trilogy for the PS2, great games, albeit it short

They released the first two on psn BUT the sequel had horrific bugs and was quickly removed. The first however plays very well and looks fantastic for it's age.

I hate you broken neck lady!
Fatal Frame 2 was removed from PSN? I bought it the day it came out but only played about a hour of it and it seemed fine. Maybe I will continue that today.

I own the original ps2, xbox versions and believe me the psn version is seriously buggy.
Think I have two of them on the old XBOX, afaik, the sequel can be played on 360.

Technically both of them can if you're American. But typically they screwed up the code for Project Zero in Europe and we can't play it. Apparently it's an easy fix also but naturally if it's not American it doesn't get patched. Nothing new for the xbox.
Buy a "license" on PSN, play on PCSX2. The official PS2 emulation on PS3 is surprisingly glitchy.

OK, Thanks for the heads up :)

I love the Fatal Frame games. I even imported the 4th one, though I did (somehow) manage to get it at retail price.

I backed this and was majorly surprised when the campaign actually succeeded. You should all try the demo. It's a solid game, and the controls only need some minor tweaking to work really well.
Despite the critics opinion, I didn't find the second game so scary. The third was also pretty annoying. But the first... damn. That broken neck lady scares the bejesus out of me. It doesn't help that the game, as opposed to its sequels, is very dark-looking (you can barely see anything) and runs on 60 frames per second as opposed to the sequels' 30 frames.

Why does this make it scarier? Well, when you use the camera, you go first person, so it is as if you are watching ghosts attacking you in real time! And when the damn broken neck lady charges at you, you just shit your pants.

Two great games; third one is pretty bad.
They seem like interesting games, I'll try them out one day when I get the chance and find them for a good price.

What do people think of Fatal Frame 4 (or Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen) of the Wii?
