If it's taken this long for them to get a friggin website up and running I expect the beta to start in Spring 2065.

Surely it'll be online October 2077 only to be cut short by that little spat between america and china

I was going to use that date but I decided against it.
I love how their website takes a good 3 minutes to load up. Great way to get people intrested in your game give them some 56k modem speed nostalgia.
Wait, how long has this game been in development now? Five years? And NOW the website is up?

and then only partially works but hey, what are you gonna do? Its a post nuclear world...
My interest in this faded ages ago. Maybe I should visit NMA so I can be reminded of how screenshots of this that look like washed-out, 16-color images of Fallout 3 are supposed to look more like a "real" Fallout game.
this got put on kotaku, hence the massive slowdown in the site

I thought nobody on Kotaku knew what Fallout even was.

You do realize Fallout 3 is very popular amongst the console folk. They might have a skewed idea what a Fallout MMO is really going to be like, especially one from Interplay as opposed to Bethesda.
Sweet, I'm at 23% and it's stopped loading... great site. Not really looking forward to this considering all Interplay is trying to do now is milk their old IPs.
You'll find that after the success of Fallout 3 Bethesda got a bit greedy and tried to rip the MMO and the rights to distributing the originals from Interplay through a (sometimes incredibly humorous) court case.
Some of the criticism about the delayed releases is perhaps a bit misguided as that court case surely influenced IPLY's decision to move forward with the project. If they lost the court case, why continue dumping money into something that was going to be stolen anyhow? Luckily the judge saw through Bethesda's idiot attorney's attempts to twist around some legalese and hurt feelings.
Good to see "FOOL" is one step closer to production. If Caen doesn't screw this one up, it'll be a miracle.
Much better site for Fallout stuff btw - duckandcover.cx
