StingingVelvet: Really? I think the entire game is well-written, and have had many, many moments where some dialogue makes me laugh or makes me ponder something.
Yea, there are definitely instances where you just have to smile. I guess that comes down to the writing... but those are just that. Instances. Another one that struck me as somewhat touching was when Boone finally tells you what happened to his wife.
In general though, I'm talking about the meat of the game. I listened to long monologues from House and Caesar and they are just empty. Or shallow. Even on a lesser scale... the Boomer lady or the Brotherhood elder... I don't know man, it just didn't sit well with me. I'm not picking sides because I think one of them has a valid argument or outlook on the world... I'm just doing it because I have to.
A small example... The quest Come Fly With Me. Really funny quest with an amusing outcome. And fun to play for sure. It's addition into the main quest line? Senseless.
I'm at 40 hours played now, level 27 I think. Working on the main story now, coming close to the end.
