Anyone got this for the PS3? How is it?
Never mind about me not having any tech issues... seems there is a common issue on nVidia cards where having more than a few NPCs on screen at once results in single-digit framerates no matter your settings.

It's a bummer. Hoping for a hotfix, though it isn't likely I would guess.
THE FIRST THING THAT HAPPENS IS BROKEN

Hilarious (I'm sure it isn't common, but it's awesome).
Hahaha thats a good bug
.

Bah now they're really taking the piss, I can get the MANUAL for FNV now but not the game...

Kind of like the Exocist :P

Did you notice that when the guy was floating he looked like one of the ghosts from silent hill 4?
Someone has to make a possessed village style addon for NV, like a micro survival horror quest, might even be a good mod given the hardcore mode

I'll be getting it when it is released over here. I think it's on the 24th.

I hope there will be a Dlc like the Pit for new vegas.

Really? I thought that was the least interesting off all the F3 DLCs

Please let us know how it is on it. :)

Bluefox91: Wait, the game is out in America all ready?

Delixe: Yes they get it today the rest of us get it Friday. Don't that make you feel all warm and fuzzy?
What annoys me most is the fact that the game is on torrents, ready to play for all the pirates and i have to wait 'till friday for fucking steam to activate mine. That is really going to encourage people to be legit gamers

That is how piracy thrives, though, by playing on the entitlement issues and poor patience that most people have. There is a release date, such is life, so would a little patience hurt?

I'm not trying to rub salt into wounds, just pointing out that it is the temptation to jump the gun that allows piracy to thrive.
I'm forced to buying it for the PS3 until someone can confirm you can launch the game from the NewVegas EXE inside the steam folder. If that can happen then i feel safer buying this... or maybe i'll just wait for the GOTY again and get it with the massive patch and all the good mods and bug fixes that come with waiting

Can anyone confirm you can launch the game from the App Folder in steam without steam running like Fallout 3?

Let me turn this around

Business is withering because of piracy and one way to combat it is to release before the pirates can to remove the temptation for people who are that impatient. There is a unique window of opportunity afforded to digital distribution for the game to be sold within hours of it going gold and before even close to the source pirates can get it. Would a little alacrity hurt?
