Delixe: Cast list has been revealed. Quite a few B and C listers. link
Ron Perlman (Obviously), Matthew Perry, Zachary Levi, Felicia Day, Danny Trejo, Kris Kristofferson, Rene Auberjonois, Michael Dorn, John Doman, William Sadler. Earlier it was revealed Wayne Newton would be playing New Vegas' version of Three Dog called Mr Vegas.

Chandler and worf? awesome!
It's cool they're bringing Marcus back... nice bit of continuity there. I always liked Matthew Perry for some reason too, despite never watching Friends more than 5 times... I think it was his stint on West Wing.
Nice to see a varied cast in general really.
HEAVY SPOILERS!
Ron Perlmans intro link
question to aussies here.
are you getting the 80 dollars standard version or the collectors edition?
CE sounds tempting but damn 125 bucks is a lot for a game.

Bit heavy on exposition compared to the other games I think.
IM still pissed off about the Steam only thing... and again i'll be waiting a year to play it for the GToY used ps3 version... besides awesome walkthoughs and tip guides will be made by then ^_^ im also guaranteed a wicked steam sale where it'll go sub 60% off by them as well since all steam games pretty much need that after 8 months and the hype fades....

i am getting tired of buying everything on the ps3, i miss modability... then again i only ever mod games i get bored with... which is rare now-a-days... and i have gotten really good with FPS on the ps3... They better have some kinda autoaim though when you fire from the hip and not all VATS, that would tick me off... snap to sights is a standard or should be IMO

I'm getting it, I'm probably going to regret it if the bugs are as bad as they were in FO3. But in general I liked FO3. But then again, I can totally understand the wanting to torture Moira just shy of death, she's really annoying, people from Minnesota aren't that bad, right? Please tell me they aren't.

Likewise the kids in little lamplight alone justify the ability to kill children.

All in all New Vegas looks to be a worthwhile buy, and I'll be getting a copy for myself and one for my brother.

EDIT: Perhaps if they do another one they should have Gearbox do it, at least they know how to make a more or less bug free release.

As long as you don't want to play multiplayer in a predominantly multiplayer game.

What? Either there's a typo there or I'm missing something.

No, that would kind of defeat the purpose of most of the original crew working on Fallout again. Obsidian is mostly the people from Interplay and Black Isle that created FO 1 & 2. Gearbox should not come near this IP at all, in my opinion.

Let's wait till we see how Obsidian does with one of the best IP's it's ever created (under a different company name of course). I have a feeling it's going to be good. And even if it has bugs, Obsidian, at least with NWN 2, has not been shy about patching.

Writing is one thing, but what hurt FO3 more than pretty much anything was the bugs, the flying bodies, random crashes and other serious bugs. The writing and characterization could've been a lot better, but it's hard to care about that when your suspension of disbelief is being tested by stupid bugs.
No offense, but how does Bethesda's bugs relate to Obsidian's games? They're two different companies. Gearbox has bugs in its new releases too ;)

EDIT: Also I seem to remember Bethesda and Obsidian both patching games that needed patches pretty quickly. I don't think I've run into some of the complaints you have about FO3.

I haven't played Obsidian's games, but I've seen mentions earlier in the thread about their tendency to shoot too high and then not resolve all the bugs which was ultimately the biggest problem that Bethesda had, other than ignoring the end user complaints.

Gearbox has bugs, but I've been playing Borderlands for a while now and have yet to come across any significant ones. Well, at least any significant enough to interrupt the experience.

Oh, ok, I see where you're coming from. If you're concerned about bugs I would wait a couple weeks post-launch to get the game. Personally as a fan of the series all the way back to Wasteland, I am THRILLED to see it back in the hands of the people who created the Fallout franchise.

That's what I meant, I don't think GB could do it justice. You have to look at it from all angles, not just from an issue perspective. This is going to be the closest reality to a true Fallout 3 we will ever get, thankfully because BethSoft licensed the rights to Obsidian.

There may be some bugs in at launch, but that story and character depth you were talking about? It should definitely be in there.

alpha protocol didn't receive proper patch. i guess the game sold THAT bad that sega told them to not do it.
