I don't know how many people here listen to FnM, but for me this is big news.
Mike Patton's publicist and the bassist of FnM have confirmed that they will reform for at least for this year for a Europe-tour.
I hope they'll put at least one more album out and more than that, I hope they'll visit my country :P

No effin way!
Aw, crap, its only 4/5ths of the classic FNM. They aren't getting Jim Martin back on guitar (no real surprise there), but at least they didn't get yet another replacement guitarist and stuck with Jon Hudson.

Getting Jim Martin would've been too good to be true.
Jon Hudson is fine with me, though.
Wow...very cool news!
Pretty hip. I used to be obsessed with FNM and Mike Patton 7 years or so ago. Wouldn't mind giving them another spin.
Well thats good news, as long as they don't just put out a shovelware greatest hits album

They already did that... twice:

Considering they haven't made anything new since the last greatest hits album in 2003, I kind of doubt they could get a record company to green light another one. Besides, according to the article, all they have confirmed is a European tour, no records.
Yeah I know they've done grestest hits things before, thats why I was concerned. A lot of re-formed bands shove out 3 new tracks on the back of a greatest hits thing

Faith No More... isn't that some band that bearded men listen to when their wives are out playing bridge these days?

Hey! That's not true... my wife doesn't play bridge.
Good news as I intend to visit at least 2 festivals in Europe, including the largest 1.
Hopefully they play at 1 or both of them.
This makes me want to listen to them again.
I think I'll dig up a nice live recording from my external drive this weekend.
