it seems to work with my logitech gamepad, as far as their diagnostics tell me.
A lot of people tell me that it will work for Darksiders, but it still seems to detect my controller and try to run that as well, resulting in the camera pointing straight up in the air. I've been trying to track down the mythical dinput8.dll that fixes this, but all the ones I've found either do nothing, or disable it completely.

We don't know this for sure...maybe he's just venting.

I'd normally agree with this, but BC's been around on and off for a while, and it's always been the same shit again. It doesn't matter what he posts - 80% of it are "vents". The context is the same regardless of what the subject of his rage is. Hardly a coincidence.

Hehe . . . yes, I took it on as a personal quest. I was determined to answer every question if I could ignoring everything but the question he asked. As you can see, he rarely considers ANY question solved and my efforts did not change his opinion of GOG . . . =)

For Darksiders I have to turn off any joystick emulator, then it works fine (have VJoy for the duel mode in MTG but then Darksiders is unplayable, or maybe would be with remapping)

Well basically what I was talking about is there was this one Windows XP computer that I used to play old games on at my old house, it was only like a 333 or 400 megahertz computer, but it had Rebel Assault and Rebel Assault 2 installed on it before it was updated with the Windows XP operating system by my uncle that knows lots of crap about computers. When I used the joystick many times back in the day on games like Star Wars X-Wing, or X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter, or games like that, the joystick worked fine, and I was almost sure it should've worked on the Rebel Assault games.

Well, when I tried running the games again about a year or so ago, Rebel Assault loaded up but I couldn't get past the menu screen, and with Rebel Assault 2 the joystick wouldn't work, I couldn't even try calibrating it cus it wouldn't respond. I could still use the mouse, but for a flight sim game like Rebel Assault or pretty much any other flight sim game its impossible to get past the 2nd or 3rd level or so. This was a computer without internet access too, so there's no way I could try downloading a joystick emulator or simulator to try getting it to work. I think its just the way that old games were coded back in the day being only compatible with certain kinds of joysticks (I even read the paper manual we still had laying around for both games, and they talked about the kinds of joysticks that were compatible).
