This looks interesting and short.
It does indeed. I might have to keep my eye open for it.

Up on Gamersgate now for $15.

Doesn't sound particularly good from the console version reviews. Anyone want to try and sell me on it?
It's a FF clone, except you get to fly and in areas, explore a very 3D map. Also, 15 bucks is pretty expensive, it goes on sale at times for half that.

Thanks for the update - here is hoping we get a demo as the PS3 did. I have heard good things for a turn based RPG - which would tend to get poor reviews from the consoles.

Not really CRPG turn-based though, more Final Fantasy turn-based. Which is fine, I liked the old FF games. I am mostly worried about length, Gamespot says 6 hours.

Some of my fondest memories were playing FF1 on that great new console the Original Nintendo.

I never played the first one, I was really young at the time and was only playing platformers and such. I started with FF4, which was called FF2 on the SNES. It was amazing at the time, and FF6 came along after that and blew me away. Those two games and Shadowrun on the SNES got me into RPGs. Then I switched to PC gaming and played Fallout and Baldur's Gate... talk about getting in at the right time!
Played the console demo. Pretty plain FF style except for flying around. It didn't warrent purchase for me.

I am looking forward to picking up FF IV The Complete Collection for the PSP when the price drops a bit. Never played Shadowrun.
