I guess it's good for what it's worth. Personally, I'm just thankful that the trans* people aren't forcing me to choose their bull**** made up labels like "cisgender male."
I'm not much into Facebook stuff, but it DOES have a "fuck you, none of your business" option, amongst these 50, right ?

To clarify what I meant before: I thought at first you would be required to select one of the 50. But you can just keep "male" or "female" if you want, and I much prefer that so I'm glad about it.
50? I don't think i heard more than male, female, trans and bi... wtf are the rest 46? Do want!

Furries. =P "Social media is like a disease that spreads, and then dies."
The sooner, the better.

I know this is entirely rude (and probably 'incorrect'), but if I were running a company, I'd restrict it to biological choices.
Facebook can do whatever it wants with gender options. It doesn't change the fact that the lack of Y chromosome makes a woman a woman nor does it change the fact that the existence of a Y chromosome makes a man a man.

Things like "cisgender male" are completely made up bullcrap.
Ridiculous.

If your body is male or female, then that's what you technically are, no matter how you may see yourself. If you get it changed, then great, you are something else - but I don't care if people were one and are now the other, or halfway there, or consider themselves an alien from deep space or a figment of the universe's imagination. How does this really have any bearing on anything outside their circle of friends anyway? Preaching to the choir, and that's pretty much how "TransWoman" summed it up anyway.
Man, GOG only has three: Male, Female, and Licurg.
By the article's admission, "[t]he study has not been peer-reviewed."
Rather than believing it, I think I'll just wait and see...

Wouldn't be too surprising if it did die at some point though...
I remember when myspace was the shit...now it's been abandonned and is pretty much empty.
Oh, I'm sure it'll die sooner or later. I would be hard-pressed to dispute that -- I'm just questioning the specific results of this particular study.

Actually, I prefer Male++. If i don't shave my chest hair during lunch, I can't see well enough to drive my Camaro by the end of the day.

I through everyone started out as a female by throwing in a copy of pokemon y into the gene pool and then you get a male when you throw in a copy of pokemon x into the mix.
