I was doing a little research, wikipedia, trying to find out who actually has the rights to the Eye of the Beholder games.
All that I can find is that westwood developed the first 2 games and was eventually bought out by EA. SSI, the publisher, is owned by ubisoft.
So, yeah, anyone know who owns the rights? Any chance they'll pop up on here?
It's a D&D game, right? It's Atari now who has the rights to make and distribute all D&D-based video game.
Ah, that's true too. I forgot about that bit. That's a lot of potential hands in the cookie jar.
I would love for the EotB series to come to GOG, used to have the huge boxset with them and few other D&D games in it, but sadly I foolishly lent it to someone and never saw it again =(.
It would be wonderful to have the Eye of the Beholder and Gold Box games here but with the D & D problems that won't happen for a long while I'm afraid.
But maybe the Dragonlance Gold Box games?
Edit: Oh and Dungeon Hack would be great too.

Indeed. I lent it to them as I was starting university and wouldn't have time to play. And I would so love to play those games again. That's also pretty much why I never lend anything out to friends anymore.
Even knowing that the games weren't on GOG yet, I became a member, and have bought a few games, in the hope that they will eventually show up here. So many hours of my childhood trying to figure out the basics of a rotating floor tile. I actually managed to beat the first game and almost finished the second. It'd be pretty awesome to try the games again now that I'm a bit older.

Hense the Sorry part of the post. I own them and do not have a problem with it.
It's sorta nice to know it's still out there. But to be honest, I'd far rather buy it from here when it eventually arrives =)

If they ever clear the legal battles over D&D licensing and get them here I too will buy them.
Thanks for the link. I'll still buy it when/if it gets released, but this is good enough for now.
