doccarnby: Does my Acer Travelmate count? The one with an AMD Turion 64 x2 CPU running at 1.9 GHz (supposedly), ATI Radeon Xpress 1250, 2.5GB of DDR2 Ram(though the sticker say 1), and a 120 GB Harddrive, partitioned into two drives of 51GB each? I just want a nice gaming laptop :(
It's a total crapshoot as to which games it can run. Blood from GOG, no matter how much I tweak it, runs poorly. Mount and Blade: Warband, if I turn everything down as low as it can go, will run surprisingly decent. Prince of Persia: The Sands of TIme? Everything turned down as low as it can go, runs insanely slow and choppy. Basically, if the game is any later than 2002, I need to check it out and see if it will run, requiring a download of a demo, if there is one available. Supposedly Call of Duty 4 would run on my computer, so I bought it and installed it. I turned the graphics as low as they would go and it would run at a stunning 5 FPS, all the while looking like a Quake mod.
Damn that's unlucky.... my netbook outperforms that and it's spec is inferior.
