I wanted to cross reference the answers of all the players, and see witch players came most frequently in the top 6.

Why the top 6 ? Because it's half the number of players. It would've been too tedious for everybody to range the players from scummiest to towniest without any two persons having the same position.
I was 1st of all hoping to determine who where the most frequently repeated names (not necessarily considering their rank on the list)
I wanted also to study the middle and end of everybody's lists (Most probable place for a Mafia to put a fellow mafia in on his list). It would've given a database for us to work on for the future, pointing out contradictions, etc...
But since I'm among the very few who actually did provide a full 6 members list, it wasn't a big success, was it ?

We need more discussion. I've started analyzing and linking posts in other threads. I can't have mafia game mentality on normal threads, I have to keep it for the games...

Yep. At the moment I am also waiting for Quadralien to catch up and write something. Perhaps he will be able to disperse all the suspicion that pazzer accumulated. Perhaps not. But before he writes something at all he is a tad bit difficult to interpret. (and he himself will need quite some time to go through everything we wrote)

Nothing has really changed in the last few hours.

I fear I'm not going to be able to disperse suspicion on my former self entirely here, given what I've got to work with - post 166 seems to be Pazzer calling himself out on his very first post, for crying out loud! Still, a bit of the limelight might do a bit for my post count. :)

I have to say, I like Lifthrasil's little bit of logic for voting for my former self - damage control is always useful, and I feel inclined to believe the Mafia logic would have been to go for the steadily forming bandwagon and the possibility of a triple kill for the first day/night cycle. Of course, that's assuming the current bandwagon isn't targeting a Mafia.

Speaking of which, the N0x0ss stack - personally my current read is of a rather brash and possibly somewhat confused player who's just beginning to lose it at this point, but I don't quite have enough to think of him as... well, Mafia yet. (The name "Taleroth" may be in my head at this point, admittedly.) I've got to continue reading, though - I've been reading bits at work and my thoughts on the matter are rather messed up among bits of PHP code, but I'd like to go through the reasons of each person for voting for him again, and follow it up with the... who's the other stack again? TwisterBE? Why have I never heard of many of these people? :P

I'd ask if I get an RVS-esque vote at this stage, but it seems too late in the day. :)

In mafia game #14: The Curse of the Seth Beast, you posted this.(http://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_forum_mafia_14_the_curse_of_the_seth_beast/post407) In it you are coming at one of your fellow players quite profoundly and make the statement, "Some of us may be too sentimental for these kind of games..." The ensuing exchange did get quite heated and I am sorry to bring it up because I do not intend to dredge up any hard feelings at all.

What I do intend to point out is your strength of character. You sir are no pansy. A comment by The Ditherproof JoeSapphire should not so easily derail you.

I'm starting to think you are using this as a last ditch effort to avoid a lynch and it merely comes off as desperate and not genuine.

I can appreciate your list making and to some extent you "provoking" style of posting. But this other seems, at least to me.....suspicious.

Conversation has slowed considerably, and not much appears to be happening. In an attempt to enliven discussion, I have a proposal to make: We cease all conversation about the majority of other players for the time being, and focus our discussion on the two players with the most votes to their name( currently, those are N0x0ss and TwisterBE). We'd discuss their actions and reasons that we feel they are 'scum', and give each time to respond to any accusations leveled at them.

This may be risky, as it basically means that we'd be hedging our bets in two players. If neither player is a mafioso, it would be a bad strategy.

Does anyone think this could be a viable way to discuss suspicion? I like to know what all of you have to say.

Okay I'm just going to sit here for a moment and stare at you in disbelief.

...and IF both are town, this would be exactly the kind of strategy a mafia player would suggest. As a way to insure that no scum is lynched. Concentrating the attention on two townies would be the perfect ploy for the mafia. I don't say that I think these two are town, only the idea of a 'diplomatic immunity' for the majority of players from scrutiny and lynching seems very scummy to me. Plus, you didn't even add pazzer/Quadralien to your list, who was mentioned as often as Twister as being suspicious (though not as often as N0x0ss, I think).

So in short: with this suggestion you managed to make yourself quite suspicious. At least on my list you have gained a few steps of scumminess.


Apart from that: can we have an official votecount please? I think some things have changed since the last one.

There's a thought - am I still technically voting for someone? If so: unvote until I properly decide where it's going.

flubbucket: Run me through those votes one more time? Twilight's unvoted, and I'm fairly certain N0x has voted CSPVG - those numbers can't possibly be correct. (I think I'm on 4, to be honest.)

This is what I get for going back to the last official vote count, and not checking on the votes that have accumulated since then. So then, focus on QuadrAlien and N0x0ss.

So yes, perhaps it was a bad idea to suggest that we should virtually ignore all the other players, and simply on the two most suspicious( at least according to the vote count).

Yes. Maybe you just forgot or overlooked that QuadrAlien is on top of the list as well, as you say. But maybe it was your intent to 'forget' that - and that would make you both scum (with you trying to protect him in a sneaky 'oops used the wrong vote-count' way).

You actually got me here :p. Still, it doesn't prove I'm Mafia, does it ? It only proves I don't wanna get lynched, and I really don't. I'm sorry I tried to deceive you guys, but let me ask you a simple question ... Who among us has been the most motivated person (or at least one of the most) at catching Mafias and finding the truth ? I mean, I've acknowledged from the beginning that I'd try to pull tricks, do unorthodox things, etc (Even before the game started !)... I know that declaring such a thing does not give me immunity, but what's the point to go to all that trouble if I really am Mafia ?

I'd REALLY advise you people instead of focusing on one or two persons, to profit from the existant dead-line and make the most of your time, before the final day. Heck, I'll be happy to lynch myself or get myself mod-killed BEFORE the dead-line so long as you focus your attention on catching real scums, instead of wasting your energy on trying to frame me.

Besides, as a Mafia, my whole playstyle doesn't even make any sense !
I know that we can't have every townie go haywire, and we must have distinguishable criterias such as suspicious actions to frame people, but really... I've been putting myself on the scene EVERY SINGLE time. Do you think me stupid enough as a mafia to put my head in the lion's mouth ?

So please, decide between yourself on a pre-dead-line, but don't lynch me just yet. Try to make the most of it before the mafia have a sizable advantage.
