Off topic question for you all: I had a much longer post, but for some reason every time I try to post it here, it says, " processing, please wait." and stays that way for ages. Should I just wait a while longer( I've waited about twenty minutes at a time), or is my internet connection just being horrendous?

On topic, however: At this time, I do not have enough information to cast a discerning vote. Therefore, it seems to me that my only course of action for the time being, is to say Vote: Nolynch.

And a warning to all the Vote NoLynch - its fine early on to state you have no suspects as such - who does , its right at the start of the game?!

BUT - we have to be careful we don't get to no-lynch majority! It would be a disaster and give the bad guys a free first night to get rid of someone! I count 4 nolynch votes already, lets not be careless and get to majority on it by mistake.....

In other news, I'm also quite interested in Flubbuckets little disclosure of information there.....

That usually means a messed up quote tag somewhere, and unfortunately the forum software doesn't give a proper indication about it. So you should always copy your message to notepad before posting, so you don't lose it in case something happens.


Just like the other players will tell you, the only way we can catch mafia is either through luck, or through analyzing lynch wagons. Worst case scenario for town is a nolynch followed by a night kill. That way we learn the identity of one person, but nothing else, unless a PR (Power Role, usually with an investigative power) can shed some light. If on the other hand we do lynch someone, we can take a better look at who pushed a bit harder than they should, who tried to prevent said lynch and so on.

I can excuse your nolynch vote as well as CSPVG's nolynch vote, since you are two of the newer guys in mafia game, but what strikes me odd is Pazzer. I recall him in quite a few games before, yet in post 9 he votes for a nolynch. So in the interest of getting of RVS as fast as we can, Vote pazzer

Having thought about it, and having seen that we're already quite close to a no lynch situation, I have to say Unvote: No Lynch.

I know this post may have largely been meant as a joke, but I can't help feeling that it's also intentionally misleading. Your soft claim is not at all convincing, as I was under the impression that both sides were extraterrestrial, but that there were simply 'good' and 'bad' aligned aliens.

I cannot at this time bring myself to vote for flubbucket, as I believe P1na looks more suspicious. This is due to the fact that he stated he'd gladly lynch another townie that wanted to vote nolynch, simply because he believes this to be an act of cowardice. I find this quite blood thirsty. So I'm going to Vote: P1na.

Not intentionally misleading, but I did want to see what sort of reaction it would garner.

The most recent game here was an upside down affair with "Town" being the bad guys and "Mafia" being the good guys. I wanted to get a feel for whether we had two human factions or if there were humans and aliens.

Fair enough.

I must say that it never even entered my mind that this could be a humans vs. extraterrestrials game. I extrapolated from the Vitek's flavour text that this was an extraterrestrials vs. extraterrestrials game we had on our hands. This assumption is due to the following two statements, taken directly from Vitek's opening post:

Statement 1,"In fact at the very moment, sinister alien forces were working on destruction of this town, entirely hidden to local population, who would stand no chance against these vile creatures anyway."

Statement 2,"It is apparent it was one of you, being not born on Earth, and now it is time to find the the truth behind this."

The first statement clearly states that the 'mafia' or 'bad guys' in this game, are evil aliens forces. The second statement states that Keng was clearly one of us because he was not born on the planet earth. I may be incorrect, but the I'm pretty sure this is an extraterrestrials vs. extraterrestrials kind of deal.

This is correct. Claiming to simply be an extraterrestrial is meaningless, however, as I think that we're all extraterrestrials. The more important question to ask, is whether or not I'm a 'good' or a 'bad' alien. I would respond that I am definitely 'good', but I don't think any of you will believe me( or for that matter, anyone else that made such a claim) this early on in the game.

Apart your already stated opinions, what else leads you to believe that we have a humans vs. extraterrestrials situation?

I possess even less knowledge of any alien's fanny. Then again, I did once know Jabba the Hutt. He was a sort of tan-green, though, but let me tell you, you could find almost anything under one of his folds. So I wouldn't be surprised if...Let us not speak of such things. I shudder to think.

In all seriousness, however, first you claim that Keng's murderers were human( I mental leap I still cannot fathom), and that you were extraterrestrial. Now you're claiming that you're human, which makes little sense. Although, I think you and I have pretty much exhausted any further information we could glean from one another concerning the humans vs. aliens/ aliens vs. aliens idea. To the rest of the group:What is your opinion as to whether or not we are aliens vs. aliens?

I can't work out whether it was a scummy attempt to spill a bottle of wine early in the game or just flubbucket being flubbucket. As for your question, I don't remember Statement 2 being in the OP last night but I guess it's just because I was tired. In the light of that it certainly looks like we're all aliens as well.
