america may not be perfect but believe me all other countries are just as bad or worse. maybe in different ways sometimes but bad is still bad. it is sad too see though. thankfully most places are not as bad as what that article describes.

Canada is the pinnacle of capitalism. hell the country even lacks patriotism. Stay where you are and try to bring change, there is no point running, fight it, those corrupted bastard wont live forever

I've never heard, Police going after people who feed homeless in another country. And this isn't just happening in Raleigh, NC. This is also happening in NY city. And soon, other cities will start doing this shit, I bet. Too many people in this country hate homeless people due to twisted Christian like upbringing, selfishness and a lack of real culture. If you are a civilized person, America is the #1 worst country to live in... Why am I here then? I don't have the money, skills and connections to move to a different country. I also suck at learning new languages. I don't see how my ninja monkey skills can stop police, all over the USA from going after people who feed the homeless...

Thats one thing I like about your country, I find the lack of patiotism as a trait that Canada is a very humble country, and lack of patriotism means less Right Wing Nuts or heck less extreme politicians imo.

(of course I could be very wrong with that last statement)

Lack of patriotism is a good thing. Patriotism blinds people... And anything that blinds people is not a good thing.
No, I think every state in the USA, should stop treating homeless people like cockroaches because they are human beings. They are the unlucky people destined with shitty lives due to mental illnesses, due to being at the wrong time at the wrong place etc.

I believe its because Canada gained its independence from non-violent, peaceful negotioations rather than a big epic revolutionary war in the US hence the lessened Patriotism.

just because you dont read about it doesnt mean it doesnt happen. though more likely you dont read about it because outside of the major powers many many countries dont exactly have a surplus of food to feed to the homeless, and for that matter the idea of a house is considerably different..

No shit, I was actually pointing out how stupidly another state deals with their homeless. By making it someone elses problem, you know; NIMBY.

I'm quite lucky to live in a town in PA with FOUR DIFFERENT PROGRAMS for the homeless. And they're trying to set up more. And these people ... I've seen at least 4 different kids go from shooting dope on the street to being managers of small businesses or going back to college or SOMETHING through these programs. It's absolutely wonderful. (The others in these programs I never met -- I only had experience with one program and only for a relatively short time period.)
