Yes, finally a sale directly from its developer, in case you want to support them 100%. :)

At the dev, where 100% goes to them:
Eschalon: Book I $9.95
Eschalon: Book II $12.50
at http://basiliskgames.com/purchase

At Steam, where a percentage goes to the distributor:
Eschalon: Book I $3.75
Eschalon: Book II $5.00

I like having options to choose from, having choices. Other people might like too.

Doesn't everyone? Especially if money is tight.
Now this is really tempting. I think I'll bite and buy them both.
Does the series have a good story, or is it solely gameplay? Do note that my standards are quite high.

BTW, their payment service is really easy to fool :D. Just slapped a US-based proxy and now I can avoid paying the usurious 23% VAT on the game! Because seriously, screw VAT on digital purchases! $2.29 just for VAT! Yeah right!
Hold on before biting - there's that indie royale bundle coming up, and it might include this.

The first one's was so-so - starting with a case of amnesia. It's mostly gameplay.

Can't say for the 2nd. Bought it awhile back but still haven't gotten around to playing it..

The story isn't spectacular, but it's good enough to carry the game along and keep one interested. The story for the second is stronger than the first, and the gameplay is solid enough to carry things well in between the story.
Exactly what I was waiting for. Thx Taczillarbr, thx Basilisk games.
I enjoyed the demo of Book II a while back. I may have to get this one.
